He is a great player when playing for lesser teams and in the lesser games.
The second he has been in a big club and against top level opponents he has always gone missing.
His best days were at west brom and everton

As a Chelsea fan I remember all the goals he scored last season that were marginal offside calls.
The final against Liverpool being one of them, amazing run and finish marked offside because of his forearm calling for the ball being 0.5cm further forward than VVD knee. If we didn’t get robbed there he would’ve delivered in a key game, and this season for Chelsea could’ve been way different.
Understanding offside is obviously a big aspect of being a forward but he’s got the important bit down, he did finish more than his goal tally would imply. I’ll be happy to see him back in the squad but he should do some sort of apology for that Sky interview.

I think lukaku was rated in England, but obviously never rated as the best or top top tier, simply because he never was the best, was always going to play second fiddle to the likes of Kane, sergio aguero etc…., because he was never as good as the top top forwards.

He was rated when he was the main one at Everton. Soon as Manchester paid that huge transfer for him, he wasn’t the main player and he was replaceable due to it being Manchester United. They’ve never replaced him at Everton. Manchester United and Chelsea will never rate him because they couldn’t afford for the striker to be the main player. Chelsea could maybe through a roll at the dice and do that but…….. it’s a big roll and Chelsea need to get it right this season on the pitch and financially and it doesn’t make sense to keep him in a financial point of view.

Lukaku can’t kick a ball properly!!! That’s why he’s not an elite level striker. Technically, first touch, control, and the way he strikes a ball is totally lacking
