I hated Busquets because I am a Madrid fan but boy oh boy. He was the main reason why Barcelona had 65% possession.

I loved watching the Spain Midfield of Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta and David Silva between 2009-2013…the last truly great National Team.
Crazy how Busquets is never considered in the "best midfielders of all time" talks when he's the best cdm in the history by far for me. It's always Zidane, Iniesta, Xavi, KDB, Pirlo, Gerrard, Matthaus, Lampard, Modric etc people mention but never talk about Busquets. Same applies for Jordi Alba in his position. At 33, Alba was still top level and starter, breaking goal contribution records in la liga meanwhile Marcelo was sad to say but finished at 30.
