I was very disappointed in timo Werner when he was missing one on one chances
As soon as I saw Ampadu in the starting lineup, I got even more interested watching the match. We need players that are not afraid to make decisions like Ampadu. I think Werner for me played really well especially in the wings.
Every aspect of his game is already of such high quality. The only thing he lacks is pace – his reading of the game (most important aspect for a defender) and leadership is clear for all to see. He at 19 was telling veteran players where to be while defending at corners and free kicks.
