  1. Well this skill has been recognised as "The De Jong's turn". There are youtube vids about it though😅 Many players had done it before surely but FDJ could be the one who's famous with it

  2. I don't know why but at Ajax he used to do this move more often. Would like to see him do this a bit more at Barca aswell

  3. It looks like he's struggling to turn the ball but weekend u see the opponent behind him just fall everytime 😂

  4. Same reason Busquets was always so good on the turn. In the moment you don’t expect him to drop a shoulder but he can take off in little space.

  5. I’m an old guy now but I’ve used that move since I was around 8 years old. I remember another kid used it on me and I started to copy it. It is really effective because it makes you move to the opposite direction naturally and it is hard to see it coming. De Jong took it to the highest level of the the game with his speed and awareness.

  6. Well, every great player has a trade mark move.

Cristiano Ronaldo had the step overs and the heal cutter.

Ronaldo Fenomino had the step overs.

Zidane had the "around the world" spin over

Ronaldinho had the flip flap (sandwich) and the reverse flip flap

    Robinho step overs

    Neymar with the flip overs

    Mbappe with the shimmies

    Messi with the shoulder drop

    Vinicius with the skip over

    The list goes on.
