The Washington Commanders announce the signing of XFL OT Jaryd Jones-Smith and the release of OT Drew Himmelman. Jaryd Jones-Smith was an All-XFL offensive lineman this season. Commanders Updated Depth Chart: Washington has a 90-man roster for the first time in 2023! Many fans were anticipating the release of Andrew Norwell, and it seems likely that he will be gone at some point, but a number of people have reported that the team is waiting for Norwell, who suffered a hip injury near the end of the 2022 season, to get healthy in order to release him. WSH cut one of its 13 wide receivers and a linebacker. WR/Returner Alex Erickson & LB Drew White waived by Commanders! The Commanders currently have 9 players under contract: 45 on offense, 42 on defense, and 3 specialists. Look for the team to make 2 roster moves (likely on offense) before the 12 UDFA contacts take effect on 11 May. Players began reporting to the Commanders’ training facility in Ashburn, Virginia, for the voluntary offseason workout program, beginning the five-month path to the start of the regular season.
First Day: April 17
OTAs: May 23-25, May 30-June 1, June 13
Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
Rookie minicamp: May 11-13
Explanation for the three phases of the nine-week offseason workout program:
Phase One: consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.
Phase Two: consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual or group instruction and drills, as well as “perfect play drills,” and drills and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.
Phase Three: consists of the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or “OTAs”. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.

  1. I disagree, I think Kendal is faster than st juste but since he’s taller and longer arms he’s able to make plays better. People talk about fuller like he’s 36 when he’s 27.

  2. I think defensively if we are putting our best 11 guys on the field, schematically we should be playing Dime/4-1-6 & 5-1-5 in short yardage or goaline & it's not even close. I think 4-1-6 with Chase, Payne,Allen, Sweat, with Jamin as the lone LB with Quan/Kam at Nickel/Dime (unstoppable) D-Fo/Percy Split High w/ Forbes/BSJ outside at CB, Short yardage Throw Phil between Payne & Allen, Goaline we could actually run 5-2-4 with Allen, Ridgeway, Phil, Payne, Chase with Montez back at LB with Jamin. Man we got a hell of a roster that could be so dominant if everybody can just stay healthy.

  3. Rico, your sleepin on Local Kid Tariq Castro-Fields when you're talkin about our fastest DBs, he was a legit ballplayer at Penn State, unlike Trapke a 4 Star recruit, he had the Sam Howell effect too, as a guy that was looked at as a potential top prospect before having a lackluster final season. Not top of the class like Sam but still viewed as one of the top guys. But at nearly 6'2 200lbs, he can move with 4.38 speed. If healthy he's a really good scheme fit that could be a sneaky guy to challenge for reps. We could see a surprising swing in the strength of this secondary group outside of our top 2 draft picks, I think Dantzler fit us well, Castro-Fields offers a lot of potential & even Wildgoose could be primed for a step up in his 3rd season.

  4. Gates is either Starting Center or LG.

So STROMBERG being ready over Paul means HE will be Starting Center or LG

    Chris Paul is Good DEPTH
