At 26 years old, Jordan Morris could be leaving MLS to make the European move that nearly happened when he left Stanford University. With the Seattle Sounders forward reportedly on the verge of joining Swansea City, ESPN FC’s Kasey Keller and Steve Cherundolo discuss whether Morris is making the right move. Is the EFL Championship the best place for him, or should he be trying to make a Bundesliga move like other USMNT stars? But first, the guys react to Matthew Hoppe’s latest goal for Schalke and assess how Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s imminent return to the club will impact the American teenager.

Jordan Morris is an overrated player who only preforms against MLS teams
If Braithgoat went to Bayern or Dortmund, the other team's defence would be destroyed.
I never forget when Jermaine Jones said there was a team in the Bundesliga who wanted Morris and he said he was staying in America for his GF and his new puppy 😕😳. Man as a competitor you're suppose to want to compete at the highest level. So after I heard that I lost respect for Morris as a competitor
Swansea are going to premier so I don’t even understand the championship conversation
Swansea isn't a bad move, they 2nd in the championship and could get promotion to the PL
Swansea > Bundesliga
Great points from both pundits. Depends on Morris character, is he looking for the easy or the hard way? Easy money in Germany or extremely competitive environment where he would challenge himself to the max. The championship is no cinderella-story, that said, I still think he should take the hard way path. He has once in a lifetime opportunity to go to wales to learn the game and develop. If its only about money – go to Germany.
Yes, they need more help than just a kid. Plus, he is a kid. His body is still growing and he'll need some breaks.
Jordan is too good today stay in MLS. He has peaked there
No he sucks
Better late than never but Jordan had a huge chance to chase for glory in Werder Bremen, a few years ago, but turned them down. What did that get him? You're an athlete, you play to be one of the best. The best play in Europe, that's just facts.
Jordan Morris is garbage
Morris sucks
All the best
What Kind of Title It is!
Bundesliga Is Miles Better Than Overrated PL and They Say Championship, that's Clear Insult🤨🤨
"Jordan Morris needs to go to Europe! He'll only improve if he goes to Europe!"
Jordan Morris signs with Swansea City.
"Ugh what is he doing?"
Come on y'all, we wanted him to go to Europe and he did. Let's be excited for him, yeah?
Good to see Morris is leaving finally. I remember a few years ago he didn't want to leave because he and his girlfriend had just got a dog
Finally!! Jeezz he had a chance to play for Werder Bremen but he pussied out. Now he’ll finally get another chance. My respect has risen a little for this guy.
Gutted but happy for Jordan, I have had great memories of seeing Morris score like being at the stadium for his playoff hat trick I am so sad but wish him the best
Morris wasted his youth in MLS he's capped at what he is a decent holding forward that needs quality service. I'm much more interested in Hoppe who shows clinicality in his finishes and excellent timing on his runs as well as the pace to catch up to make those runs truly threatening
Obviously no real knowledgable football people here who suggest Swansea not a good place for him to play as if you see his style of play alongside the Swansea philosophy you would see how and why this is the best for him
All US players playing right now in Europe are mediocre EXCEPT for Pulisic and Reyna….
Haha yeah keepers have a different view of goal scoring
Cold take
Morris will be fine. It’s not like he is joining man city next year
Idaf what he does ever since he pussied out of his original chance because he just got a dog with his girlfriend and to stay close to his family he was done for me. Im already looking beyond him when it comes to who should be the striker for the usmnt.
To lower standard teams? 😂😂😂The championship is a better standard than the mls
Championship teams would beat the MLS teams no problem, its a step up for Morris.
Swansea don't buy players and not use them. They have a really good youth academy and a lot of their players come from there. Just because they are in the Championship, doesn't mean they aren't an excellent club. They have a great manager, brilliant youth set up and they play exciting attacking football while being tight in defence. Just watch some of their highlights, they are a really entertaining team to watch.
