  1. I just looked at the current PL table and there’s no asterisk next to Man City. People must be imagining things, or thinking their opinion matters.

  2. Man U demonstrated the power of publicly listing on a stock exchange and getting in so much funding that they could dominate spending in the league.

  3. Thats the plan 😂…..but we the City fans will know it isn't tainted and that's all that matters, it's a total witch hunt. If we are found "guilty" of breaking rules brought in by our rivals designed to prevent competition it only confirms what we already knew that there is a corrupt cartel rigging the English game…..who are the guilty ones really I KNOW it's not City đŸ€”

  4. They were guilty in the early years and now comply. It’s a shame.
Because they haven’t spent much the last 5 years.

  5. 3:42 You would find the sympathy Gary Neville has for FFP cheats evaporate instantly if Liverpool were to suddenly be bankrolled by an oil state – he'd be falling off his chair apoplectic while demanding that FFP be enforced.

  6. FFP was only brought in to protect the interests of Liverpool, Utd and Arsenal. They wanted to stay top dogs and have the lions share of top player's. It was purely to keep other teams at bay

  7. City was banned from UEFA competition for a couple years but they paid a fine and that was lifted. Remember when that happened a couple years ago?

  8. The charges aren't ticky tack like backhand payments to a former manager or something, it's literally several breaches of not disclosing the correct financial materials within the time window and then obstructing when asked to do so. So how do we know if the reason for hiding is as simple as paying the kitman too much or they overspent on transfers or wages. If that's the case then it throws the whole Pep campaign into doubt, not just this year.

If they're found guilty they should be disqualified for each of the seasons the breaches were committed and honest teams should be awarded what's rightfully theirs.

  9. Let's not take the farcical route of the Serie A, please. City have spent their money well, and it's not their fault that the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd & Tottenham can't get their house in order.

  10. How is it Juventus can be charged so quickly by Serie A. But the Premier League and FIFA keep ‘kicking the can down the road’?

  11. This is nothing new. Barcelona and Real have been doing this for years. Nothing will be tainted. There's always been one or two clubs that spend more than others.

  12. No, it really doesn’t the teams that City has gotten, that team still needs to perform week in and week out too win.

Teams like Chelsea are a Classic example of spending money doesn’t gurantee success

  13. Sounds like a petty complaint. Its like saying the NYC yankees should be penalized for buying the most expensive players year after year. It doesnt make sense. It sounds like they just want to discredit Guardiola accomplishments more than anything else

  14. I like what Gary Neville says and I like his objectivity despite him being an arch rival for city as a fan. FFP was created to protect some elite and demonize other clubs' spending!!! Even so as he rightly puts it, rules are rules and if found guilty City will face the consequences. If not, hurrayyyy!! However, the whole idea of FFP is contentious tbf…

  15. What city have done is unrivalled in world football but to escape charges due to the owners having more money than the fa makes a mockery of our beautiful game so yes citys success is tainted and not respected in the whole football community and its a shame for their fans ,the owners should step back and let the FA take whatever action needed like they would with any other club otherwise the great game is gone these mega rich owners should be forced to sell the club if they don't want to play fair for the sake of the game

  16. If City remained in the CL when they were "banned" for FFP then no doubt they will remain doing what they've been doing in the EPL

  17. I don’t like F.F.P either but I also don’t like a system where clubs with owners with unlimited funds can buy trophies.

  18. Why doesn't anyone actually discuss the charges?

All that ever gets discussed is there are 115 of them!
A narrative in the media to try to taint the club.
Fact is there are 5 to take notice of but why quote 5 when 115 will do eh Sly?

Talk about the charges, they are pathetic and the Premier league will get backsides kicked on this one…

    Our attendance is fake
    Our sponsors are fake
    Our finances are fake.

    Our points are not fake
    Our trophies are not fake
Our playing style and tactics are not fake
    And
Our PL titles are not fake.

Good luck you jealous, bitter muppets!

  19. Obviously yes. Juventus have been tained ever since their scandal. Man City were banned from European football but got it overturned, says it all.

  20. Reading supporter here. Reading broke FFP (I’m still unsure how when the EFL were scrutinising every deal) and were docked 6 points which sent us down.
City with over 100 breaches will def get away with it, one rule for the Premier league and another for everyone else. Look what at Chelsea spending ÂŁ600m and Everton – no action taken. Then go down the pyramid and you have the Readings and Derby who get screwed.

  21. Teams should be allowed to spend what they want that’s their money to risk. Look at Chelsea and PSG money just doesn’t buy you success.
