  1. Arsenal appear to be locked on Declan Rice as the primary target and with the seeming exit of Xhaka opens up the possibility of both Rice and Caicedo. However that's quite an expensive investment (likely £150m+ combined for the two).

I could easily see Musah being a primary fallback option instead of Caicedo. Allows Rice to play behind as the 6 typically taken by Partey/Jorginho (which most seem to just assume would be Caicedo) and Musah to play in the left 8 (the Xhaka role) where he would have much more fun and creative freedom in Arsenal's attack.

For City he could certainly have the potential to compete for the spot likely to be vacated by Gundogan which would also suit him stylistically. Big question is whether City would actually go for him and if they did if they would give him the time he needs. See: Kalvin Philips.

Liverpool are so bereft of bodies in the midfield that he could easily fit in there. Liverpool really should not bother trying to spend all that money on Bellingham and instead invest in 3+ players in that Musah price level to bolster their ranks.

  2. Don't know where he will go. However, Brighton would be a great choice if McKennie doesn't beat him there. He may be too expensive for them, though.

  3. I think Musah will leave Valencia, there have been rumours he'll be potentially the West Ham replacement for Declan Rice, theyll get about £95m-£120m for Rice

  4. Wonderkid seems to be a bit of an overstatement. But it could be a good step in his career. This is way more about Musah maybe making more money for him than him changing the landscape of power in a top 3 league.

  5. I think the best fit for him would be the biggest counterattacking club in the UK, so that would be Liverpool. Arsenal are more direct these days but I just see him playing regularly under Klopp.

  6. He needs to be goal dangerous in the final third; otherwise, he will be a bench warmer if he transfers to a big club. The final third is a massive struggle for him as of now.

  7. This is sort of a non-soccer question. I was thinking about both Musah and Balogun being dual nationals. Both were born in the US but quickly moved abroad. Balogun apparently was born in the US while the parents were visiting family. I was wondering if it was in the minds of the parents to make sure they were in the US at the time of birth, just so that their child would have US citizenship rights. I'm not casting judgement on the parents' decision, but only that it speaks highly of the desire to gain US citizenship. Or at least have it on your back pocket in case you need it later in life. After hearing Balogun's story, just made me wonder if it was planned. And possibly the same for Musah.

  8. Alright let’s talk about it. With Reyna inevitably taking more of a central role, who are we benching? McKennie or Musah. For me at this moment you got to bench McKennie but idk

  9. I'm looking forward to finding out where Musah will go. At 20 with the right coach his development will be massive for club and country. In a way he reminds me of Gnonto at Leeds. Excellent player on not such a good team. Put better players around him and he will excel.

  10. You're overstating this. I love Yunus Musah, and he's a nice talent, but he's averaged 56 minutes per match this year for a team that's spent most of the year in the relegation zone. I know he's young, and he'll surely improve some more, but he's not a raw 17-year-old. A top-four club in England would be a bridge too far for Musah. He would rarely play.

  11. Correct me if I'm wrong but no top PL team is in for him right now and won't be this summer, wonderkid is an overstatement for sure and it's still called football

  12. Let him prove his abilities on the field first. He’s one of about a half dozen young US players being hyped and expected to transform into a world class player. But he needs to actually do it on the field first. Haven’t we learned that putting the cart in front of the horse is not working?????

  13. a loan to RM from Valencia would be nice. It will keep him in La liga and we can develop him to become the next Luca.

  14. I appreciate your explanation of a player’s first touch. For those of us who watch the sport it is obvious, but for new fans who are just getting interested, these sorts of details can help them gain a better understanding. Nicely done.
