That’s a very tough group for Ireland
David Meyler: “I only see one outcome. Ireland is going to the EUROs. France and Netherlands are very good but they don’t have the character and the heart and desire that we have." 😂
We’ve nothing to lose.
The current Irish team don't have a chance against the French or the Dutch home or away. We're not finishing in the top two, and that is before a ball is kicked. Our team will struggle to get results against Greece.
We've been good against the good teams because the team knows how to collectively defend, but we still didn't beat any of those good teams unless you count Scotland who didn't show up at the Aviva a few days after being knocked out of the WC. We haven't a hope in this group.

Kennys allergy to being pragmatic will see us walloped
I think Ireland struggle against mid level teams and thrive against tough opposition. Sometimes the quality can be too much like Ronaldo scoring for Portugal but if Ireland can block the quality and keep pressing we will still pick up points. Greece possible banana skin hope we pick up 6 points.
It's great that we are not gonna have too much pressure of being laughed at which is when we struggle the likes of playing Macedonia or latvia
Fact : ireland can quite easily reach the play offs…. all we need to do is come 3rd in the group .. obviously we need to get points off greece .. but if we can get 3rd then we only need 3 lower ranked teams to actually qualify directly for the euros for us to make the play offs … remember along with hosts germany .. 23 other teams will qualify for the euros .. its not as impossible as people think .. roughly its the same situation as when we qualified for euro 2016 in France .. we can get 3rd place and then who knows what can happen in the place offs …
