Of course they can, theyโre Barcelona. Lewandowski took a significant pay cut to go there. They still have that prestige, even though theyโre a bit of a mess
Bro, they literally held up the entire transfer market last summer, lewa, kounde, and raphinha rejected higher bids.
Absolutely. Last summer alone they pulled Koundรฉ, Raphinha and Lewandowski.
2 points : 1. its kind of annyoing when people say real madrid took their eye off the ball for the lack on inconsisteny in the league but don't mention the amount of injuries barcelona had during cruical periods, they were missing de jong pedri christensen and dembele for the 4-0 loss to RM. and 2. barcelona are still massively attractive, kounde raphinha rejected chelsea last year who offered them much bigger wages, lewa specifically wanted a struggling barca side over many clubs, de jong nearly got a restraining order agaisnt MU because he would rather stay at barca. the question is which teams are more attractive to join over barca and i'd argue only RM and man city (for sporting and financial reasons) at the moment.
Nope, players sign with them in good faith then the club comes back later and asks them to take a pay cut in order to sign some more players?!๐ that is plainly embarrassing!
What kind of heading is this?
Man barca's one of the biggest clubs in Europe with unparalleled history and prestige
How is Barcelona not atractive enough? pobably top 2 teams in la liga and top 5 most important club in the world. You ask the best players in history and they always choose Real madrid or Barcelona. pretty sure is more atractive than most PL teams
The Athletic relentlessly bashing Barรงa, while ignoring the goings-on in their backyard like Man City, Newcastle and the possible Qatar takeover of Man Utd, is a disgrace.
Love how Pol says 'But' just like Chappers!
Pol needs a new internet provider
Compare Barca's numbers in LaLiga vs their numbers in the UCL and UEL, the real level of a top flight club always comes to light against opponents of their same stature; Inter, Bayern, United, Benfica and Frankfurt owned Barca….but these are more competitive squads than the teams with less than 10% of Barcelona's capital they face every week in LaLiga.
Barca is now better as a team without Messi
Barca beaten Real three times this season, won La Liga and Supercopa. Also Barca has the best defence and goalkeeper in Europe biggest leagues. Barca still do attract best players (Lewangolski for example). L take from clowns at athletic.
Not sure if these comments are read to be completely honest but I listened to the full podcast and was really quite unimpressed by the level of unfounded opinion shared throughout. The negativity surrounding Barcelonas future and their financial positions felt very much like the continued mainstream media narrative that disregards that Barcas financial position is quite frankly fine for a business (in terms of debt/revenue ratio) and that their issues are mostly to do with overcoming la ligas strict financial policies. Reason for my frustration here is that I generally feel the athletic sets a very high standard for thoroughly researching topics and not just regurgitating unfounded opinions
The disrespect you even say whether barca is an attractive club? Wow athletic keep up the agenda.Would you ask the same if it was utd who got humiliated by sevilla fighting for relegation or liverpool who are missing european football? Great job mark
And just after this video Alemany has rejected the higher salary from AstonVilla and is gonna stay at Barcelona. Ask any rising star in world football, unless they are childhood RM or Espanyol fans, will say, โwhen Barca call, you goโ. Also, we will sign Gundogan, Messi ,Inigo Martinez At the very least for sure the coming window.
Yes. Nobody cares about that dead League ๐
Also, Alemany is staying โค๏ธ
They won La Liga, next year they'll get better.
Bunch of haters
