This Giroud narrative is getting ridiculous. Good goal scorer, old school 9. People have turned a successful career at a few big clubs into a crazy “what if”. Spend half an hour looking at top strikers from the last decade and you will find at least 30 examples of better players, many of which are far lower rated.
Giroud is so overrated. People look at his goal compilations and trophy cabinet without watching him. He’s the reason Arsenal haven’t won a title in 20 years

Spanish kit is right. These hypotheticals don’t work because a player with amazing pace has been developing his game with that pace for 20 years. If Messi was 6’2, he would be an entirely different player. A player only plays how they play due to their physical characteristics. Giroud’s entire development and subsequently his entire career is completely different.

Luis Suarez will forever be the greatest striker of our generation. My man won a golden boot in Messi/Ronaldo era. Won champions league, LaLiga, Copa del ray, super cup, club wc, dutch league, english league cup, golden boot in pl, etc.. Played for Liverpool, Ajax, and Barcelona. This man is amazing.
Dumb argument, if he had pace, he would build his game differently than the way he's playing now.
Always remember that Giroud kept Benzema out the France team on multiple occasions. During Benzemas "prime" years none the less. Also Giroud won a Ligue 1 title at Montpellier, nothing Benzemas done has eclipsed that achievement.
