Its crazy how a club like southampton managed to beat man city in the carabao cup quarter finals to reach the semis and draw 3-3 against arsenal and tottenham 0-0 against man united and beat chelsea but have gotten relegated

This is what they get for wasting all their energy to beat Arsenal. It was wrong to prioritise that.
Their transfers were simply not good enough. Same goes for Leeds United. Fulham and Brighton brought well which is why they have done great. Its not rocket science.

Painful to see us finally go down, but firmly as the bottom team we have known for a while. Trying to make the most of a new season in the championship with stadiums i havent been to. Feel we will lose half our team though. No faith in the ownership to make the right decisions. They say dont go quietly into that good night but weve gone down with a whimper. So disappointing.

it’s tough to take even though i’ve accepted relegation for a few months now. feel for the fans of the other clubs in the relegation battle because it’s going to be full of emotions. we need a good clear out from board level to the players. change the culture of the club and bring in positivity and good habits because it’s been toxic for a few years now. fans need to do much better and get behind those that stay and come in. trust the process, we’ll be back soon.

If Southampton keep these players they will get promoted next year easily. Credit to Fulham they gone under the radar this season but not only survived relegation but could finish 9th place 👏👏
