Remember when Green Bay signed Reggie White ? One year into the mike Holmgren /Brett Favre era ? The packers had still not been to the playoffs In 11 years but immediately the talk was super bowl because we had Reggie and Favre . The packers finished 9-7 which is the same record as the year before without Reggie . Then in 94 they went 9-7 again and win a wild card game . It was Reggie’s 4th year with GB after adding a slew of top players before they finally won a SB. So does adding Rodgers make the NYJ a legitimate playoff contender ? Absolutely ! Does it make them a SB team ? Eh … not so fast . This team has players but has to learn to walk before it can run .
