Obviously the main areas to strengthen in the summer are bringing in a striker and bringing in a centre back, but in recent games the midfield has looked slow and sloppy. Here are three midfielders we should look at to add to our squad…

  1. Was the umbrella thing already something to be ridiculed for even before Mclaren was failing at being England manager? I mean it kinda doesn't sound like something that most people would find ridicuous. Maybe it just got so connected to England losing to poor teams and therefore has since been the symbol of being a terrible coach. It's a pretty weird one this, but I can't even remeber anyone else with an umbrella on the sidelines.

  2. people forget that Carrick took Keane's shirt. He didn't have to, he could've taken a different number, but he took 16. The balls on the guy!

  3. I'm not sure Ward-Prowse is gonna leave Southampton unless he gets an offer from a top team that are contending for titles. Not sure where he's gonna get that offer from though. He might stick around to help Southampton get back up again if he only gets offers from mid table teams. Unless of course the club needs to sort out wages and economics and can't afford to keep him.

  4. Liverpool snatch top 4 on goal difference, City smash us by 4 in the cup final to win a treble, the Glazers announce they aren't selling, John Murtough is spotted in London talking to WestHam and Tottenham but then claims in the Sun that we won't be held to ransome and we're confident of getting the right player at the right price, meanwhile Maguire, De Gea and Mctominay all sign new deals for absolutely ridiculous money…. the 2022-23 season goes down as the greatest season the Glazers have ever got away with. It ends as fans are too stunned and despondent about how they've been played as the superleague comes back on the table, no-one can organise a protest because of the threat of arrest for intending to protest (just like the Met arrested that antimonarchist the other day)

  5. We used to be great at taking the best players from other English teams. Think Saha and Berbatov.
I’d be happy if we could pick up Maddison, Tielemans and Ward-Prowse if both Leicester and Southampton go down.
Sweeten the deal for them by offering them some youngsters on loan.

  6. Casemiro has had one or two really good games after the suspension, but mostly he's been a notch below the standard he maintained throughout the season. I think he's just fatigued. Granted he's had two extra prolonged "resting periods" due to his suspensions. But when he's available he's playing every minute of every game. So he would've had periods where he might not have gotten enough rest due to the fixture congestion, and this might have a negative impact on his form at this stage in the season. It might also be part mental fatigue since a great deal of responsibility have been on his shoulders for big parts of the season. Hopefully the fact that the schedule isn't as brutal going forward will help get him back on track.

  7. Moving players out is the most important thing for the club to move forward. Sell Sancho , Maguire ,Scotty ,VDB ,Fred, Pelesteri. Release Telles ,Wout .

  8. Gerrard, overhyped?? 😳
Not on Roy Keane's level? Nah you've gone too far. Drunk too much of the sauce.
Gerrard was an extremely good midfielder, even SAF knew that.
If he'd have agreed to sign for us you might have even seen him bench Roy Keane. He was superior to Roy in many ways.

  9. Said when Casemiro signed it was a bad deal. £70m and massive wages for a player exiting the prime of his career. Well here we are 1 season later and already talking about a replacement.

  10. How do you not understand the rationale behind English players being more expensive? It’s logical. Shouldn’t be shocking at all.

  11. Rice is worth about 70m to them cuz they are only about to get 120m for finishing in the position they're in. clubs need to realise that your best player is worth about 80% of what your club make in prize money

  12. Mentioned already in dispatches , Maxance Caqueret . Youri Tielemans . Lavia . All three for the sameish amount as Rice . (Rice too expensive , Harry Kane too old ) Striker Rasmus Hojlund . Thats my little contribution . All young , all talanted , dynamic , good durability , hard working and lots of midfield mobility . We have an age problem at Old Trafford . Big trawl for new goalkeeper future proof with the age profiles . AWB for me not Dalot if there is a choice to be made .

  13. I would take £200 million and buy Neves ( offensive / defensive box to box) Ward Prowse (set pieces and good press) Timber (Levels above Dalot and Malacia) Kane (goal tally)

  14. 23:11 lol and Neymar doesn’t draw people away from other players on his team? Are you crazy listen you’ll all respect NEYMAR sooner or later

  15. I remember when Ole had Caceido signed up for £8.5M before all of his "representatives" jumped in after the deal leaked and runied it.

  16. Got to be Ramos, Disasi, Kone, Le Fee, Hojlund,Maignan.

Don’t think either of Antony or sancho are good enough so I would try pinch Johnson from forest.

Be lucky if we get Maguire’s brother though with current ownership…

  17. Ste saying "Chelsea…ooooo, look this isn't gonna be a hard game" Man, have you not watched us the last 2 months?? šŸ™‚

  18. We should sell Fred, VD-Beek and Mctominay. If we hang onto to sabitzer and use Hannibal as a squad player, I'd be happy with Ugarte and Neves as our new midfield recruits for next season. We dont need to spend silly money on the likes of rice, bellingham or de-jong. If the likes of wolves and fulham can buy cheap good players from the Portuguese league then so can we.

  19. I'd love to see Rice at United but he'd cost far too much money. Ruben Neves would be a brilliant addition. Can play as a 6 or an 8. Can dictate play from deep has good defensive stats. I'd sign Neves to play has an 8 & bring in Alan Varela as Casemiro's long term replacement

  20. Just came to mind, but what about sofyan amrabat? So much hype after the World Cup and now no one’s even saying 1 word of interest

  21. Specific players aside, I feel like there is an active effort to ignore, if not downright dismiss the achievement United have done. The bandwagoning geezers who rave Liverpool’s ā€œBest side everā€, and City’s ā€œbeautiful gameā€ are the epitome of it. The same group of people who hated United because ā€œthey were so rich, they were buying everyoneā€ are having absolutely no problem of City tossing likes of Frimpong, Sancho out for free, and buying 800 players of each position. The new hipster fans of America would fall for fucking Liverpool, because they were playing well when the marketing effort of the Prem was the strongest in the States. Or Leeds, yeah, fucking Leeds, because they might as sell be USMT.

  22. Neves shouldn't even be on the list after his form over the last 2 seasons, Rice is 23 or 24 United paid 70 million for a 63 year old Casemiro if United wanted prime Casemiro it would've been 120 easily

  23. Paulinho a very goid player and likes a tackle very underated and id imagine a third of the price of rice ..neves is a bit slow for me .

  24. If you want kane why not waitb12 months then hes a freebie . United need to use their miney wisely and lool for numbers as well as quailty stop blowing all the money on one player we need about 5
