Jordan Henderson has been criticised by Liverpool fans after he sang the national anthem prior to their Premier League clash against Brentford.
On Saturday evening, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were looking to extend their winning streak to six matches against a Brentford side who have caused them trouble this season, having won 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium.
However, the talk prior to the match has been focused on the decision to play the national anthem ahead of kick-off to mark King Charles’ Coronation.
As ‘God Save The King’ was played, the majority of the Liverpool crowd booed for the duration of the anthem.
Liverpool captain Henderson, who started on the bench was seen singing the anthem amid the chorus of boos around Anfield.

Absolutely wrong. No Liverpool fan is outraged or slamming Henderson for singing it. He isn’t a scouser. He can sing it if he wants. The rest of us will boo as we have done since 1965.

I’m from Liverpool and couldn’t give a toss what the fans sing or don’t sing, this ‘scouse not English’ movement is pathetic. If you don’t want to be English, which they are, give your British passports up and fck off to your scouse utopia!
Jordan Henderson shouldn't be booed by any Liverpool fans for singing the national anthem, he's been a great servent to our great club and his right to sing the anthem should be respected. Just as those who choose not to sing want their right to protest to be respected.
