    He Was “Messi’s Heir” Until Disaster Struck | What Happened to Ansu Fati?



    Ansu Fati burst onto the scene at Barcelona as a 16 year old kid with the ability of a seasoned professional. His impact was immediate at a time when FC Barcelona was a bit of a gloomy place under Bartomeu. He began smashing record after record: the youngest scorer in Barcelona history, the youngest player to score in the Champions League, the youngest player to score and assist in LaLiga, and on and on the list went. In a team that boasted Messi, Suarez and Griezmann, he was an instant hit in the attack, and showed a goal sense beyond his years.

    However, a knee injury in 2020 would threaten to derail his early career, while the mismanagement of the injury would lead to 4 surgeries for the same injury. And it didn’t end there, upon his return, two hamstring injuries would stretch Fati’s stop-start career to two years of injury problems. He’s back and healthy now, but he isn’t playing the same, and Xavi has put his faith in other players ahead of him. So, why is that? And will Ansu Fati leave Barcelona?

      So true, I could do so many tricks, but after my motorcycle accident, and half a year for my knee to heel, I was always afraid to show the final commitment needed for such tricks, and l´d always ruin them in the last moment… It´s like a mental barrier.

      If Ansu wants to save his career, he needs to leave.
      -Xavi is not the manager that will help him develop & regain his confidence.
      -The medical team has been terrible for quite some time.
      -Barca could use the money
      -He needs a breathe of fresh air in a new environment that’ll rekindle his hunger. Feels like he’s operating out of desperation

      The thing about Barcelona and Real Madrid is that when your with these club you have to hit the ground running as a player if not you will be gone also it doesn’t help that Barcelona’s academy are very good at developing players there will another version of fati who will come from the academy and be less injury prone but if fati does want to stay he has to take risk and chances to earn his spot back.

      Fati doesn’t deserve the number 10, I understand he wants to score but in Barcelonas latest match that ended 1-0 Pedri could’ve scored but Fatis selfishness didn’t allow it, Fati has got to find a different club this summer he’s not good enough for Barça

      Stop labeling people next Messi or Ronaldo. That will never ever happen again. Those two player are aliens and not from this world. They are above world class. When normal players score 25 goals in 35-40 matches people call them world class but if Messi or Ronaldo score at same level people call them flop or overrated. It’s because the bar those two players have set in football will never be touched again. Yes haaland and mbape are doing it right now but let’s see if they can do it for 15yrs. Even augero is world class but if you compare him to Messi or Ronaldo he will look average player and that’s the level we are talking about. Stop putting every player wearing no 10 or no 7 jersey in same bracket as Ronaldo or Messi. That’s just bonkers.

      Physically he looks half the player he used to be pre-injury. Still has the the technical ability and eye for the game, but just not the legs to do the things needed to be an important player at a club like Barca. If he was in Warsaw or Copenhagen he would be the best player in the league but he is in Spain at Barcelona.

      Huge mistake by Barca handing Fati the #10 Jersey when Messi left the club. Enormous shoes to fill. The pressure must have been overwhelming. Injuries added to the problem. Once you get several knee surgeries, it is very difficult to return to your full abilities. As a Barca fan, it is time for Barca to move Fati, especially with Barca's financial woes. I wish the young man all the best in thecfuture.

      I tore my meniscus too. I didn’t get surgery so I couldn’t walk properly for almost a year. I had to quit football because of it too. Hope he becomes the player he’s supposed to be
