I will never forget that season โค
Maybe in his head nut weโve already forgotten he played for them
Kasper Schmeichel's departure from Leicester was quite surprising! It's unbelievable that Leicester didn't replace him.
One of the most underrated PL goalkeepers over the past decade. He may not live up exactly to Peter's legacy, but Kasper has had one amazing career. From League 2 to winning the Premier League with 5000/1 odds (and getting Denmark to the semifinals of the Euros)! What a journey!
One of the biggest shocks in sporting history.
A true Leicester legend
crazy
He was super on that show today, sky need to keep bringing on different views.
That was without a doubt one of the most magical moments Iโve ever witnessed in football. I think itโs a season that will be remembered forever
If Iโm Leicester Iโm bringing Kasper back.
How many premier league has jamie won?
Itโs good but itโs not Forest winning the champions league back to back.
Why on gods earth did they let him go, what they could do with a leader like him right now, also ward is useless
The greatest sporting achievement ever… there were higher odds for Kim Kardashian being elected President of USA in 2016 than Leicester winning the league.
Many will disagree with me and I couldn't care less but Nigel Pearson deserves huge credit for turning Leicester into a winning team. He could have won the league with Leicester himself. When they looked down and out and almost certain for relegation, he pulled off the great escape and ended up finishing 14th. If he remained at the club, they would have still kept on winning just like how they were winning when Ranieri joined.
It's like what is happening with Newcastle right now. They were at the bottom and then escaped relegation and then ended up in third position for the majority of the season. The only reason Newcastle aren't first is because not everyone is having an off season like in 2015/16 that allowed Leicester to push on and win the title. The other reason they ended up winning the title was when they remained at the top, they realised they have a big chance and they wanted it so much and were hungry for the remainder of the season. That is basically what could have happend to Newcastle if City and Arsenal weren't doing that well.
Look at the table when Leicester won it. They were ten clear and more recent title winners back then were 15-31 points behind. It's obvious Leicester won because of how poor the others were, but I'm not giving Ranieri that much credit. Because Newcastle could have been that team this season too if the others played as badly as they did in 15/16 season. I remember saying in May 2015 that if Leicester start the season the way they finished it, they'll probably finish in the top four or even win the title and that's exactly what ended up happening. The only credit I'll give Ranieri is keeping the hunger alive in the Leicester team but I'm sorry, Nigel Pearson would have also won the title and it's a shame he didn't have the opportunity to carry on the following season after pulling off premier leagues greatest escape
His speech and mannerisms are the exact same as his dad
His English is so good
Relegated or not being him back in the summer for 1 or more seasons while new gk signing settles In
Speaks and explains things exactly the same way his dad does just with a different accent
Speaks well, good appearanceโฆ why did he leave?
Well spoken
quality goalkeeper and person
Leciester winning the PL is in my mind the best achievement in the competition's history and i cant ever see anyone beating it. Its been almost 7 years since they won it and everybody still talks about it, and imo in 50 years time people will STILL be talking about it. Unbelievable
What a fantastic human being,a privilege to listen too him tonight.
I must say Kasper speaks so well! He managed to do which very few do, that is to win the EPL AND establish himself independently from his legend of a father. I salute you and good luck with your future! Come on you foxes!!!
I names my cat Leicester that year ๐
Leicester are so different without scheimcel just proves how underrated he is
He hates Ranieri
He would make a very good pundit if he decided to go that way after his playing career is done. He speaks very well
Wish Kasper was retired. Would love to see him replace Souness.
Never forget Arsenal fans tried to accuse Spurs of bottling the league that season ๐ญ
Forgot that he grew up in England, was surprised when he didnt have his dads Danish accent
That 15/16 was painful to watch as an arsenal fan
Heโs just like his dad ๐
We need Kasper back at Leicester no matter this season's outcome.
Kasper has to be one of the only sons of footballers who actually achieved success.
His words on vichai were beautiful, youre always welcome back in Leicester Kasper
Its bold but I think Leicester winning the league that year was the greatest achievement in the history of football.
He sounds more British than British people
He sounds more British than British people
Leicester shouldnโt have let him go when they did. If he had been between the sticks still there they wouldnโt be a low as they currently are. Defo would have saved goals that would meant more points for Leicester
