Don’t think he’s right for us, I know it sounds archaic but a defenders first job is to defend and he’s poor at it, you can’t just assume he’ll improve when there’s no sign of it. No attacking output justifies a RB being a defensive liability and he certainly isn’t Cafu going forward. Adama Traore would do a similar job at RB🤷♂️
United need to look to sell one of Antony or Sancho , cant believe how useless they are going forward and wanting take on players.

I don't think he's better than AWB. I'm just being honest. I don't see how frimpong will improve the team, especially with AWB massively outperforming him defensively.
I'd take Frimpong or a new RB over Dalot (because of his inconsistency).

It's so frustrating to see Antony not actually going 1v1 against defender. When we actually know he got the pace and the dribbling quality to go for it.
Frimpong this summer, Davies next summer and our fullback positions are sorted out for the next decade.
That is why Frimpong is a must signing cos we all know Antony loves to cut in onto his left foot signing Frimpong would give us that overlap that Shaw provides on the left to whip crosses in. Both Wan Bissaka & Dalot despite having their uses don't do that often enough. I seriously believe signing Frimpong will unlock Antony even more cos Frimpong does love whipping in crosses. That is why signing Kane is a must aswell

I think asking for a defender to be so offensive is just giving the winger excuses. Wingers are supposed to be the most direct offensive players in the team. Their job is to end fullbacks and create for the striker. Garnacho and Pelllistri do this. And atleast Anto hugs the touchline and scores important goals. Sancho does neither.
Also, the best players don't have these excuses. No one ever said Bruno needs x,y,z to perform. He came in and hit the ground running.
Thoughts on a player like Vanderson? Only bringing him up because Chelsea unfortunately got Malo Gusto
The blame that sancho and antony have been getting lately just proves what i’ve been thinking of. Antony’s just the same to how he played at ajax but the issue is, his combination with mazroui was so perfect that he seemed to be world class. At man united he’s not getting the same energy. Sancho had this combination with hakimi, at united when dalot was on form pre world cup, i watched like two games they played together on the same side and it seemed to work for them(sancho and dalot) but either way. The coach just has to take and find the right pattern

Dalot is best in the midfield 3rd.
Frimpong is best in the attacking 3rd.
Personally, I'd keep AWB and sell Dalot to make room for Frimpong.

His seems to be a good player going forward & for that reason I would keep AWB and let Dalot go possibly to Barca as part of player+money in De Jong pursuit cause he & AWB compliment each others weakness. It all comes down to who they going up against & the system they want to use.

As an Ajax fan I could tell you Antony plays 2x as good when RB Mazroui played. He needs an rightback with offensive output to play well. I know Frimpong is a different profile than Mazroui but I could see a link with Antony. AWB is an will not be an offensive back in the future, he did improve but isn't a profile ETH is looking for.
This significant goal threat matched with bursting runs would also make sancho hit form. Sancho is always waiting for a full back to bomb on like he had with Hakimi at dortmund.

I actually disagree with you here, with my experiences at Ajax Antony was at his best with a inverted fullback making runs in the halfspace (Mazraoui). So there was pace for Antony to go for a 1v1 or a cross, Dalot would surely be able to do that also making quick one-twos with the fullback. Think it's just a confidence issue with Antony not flourishing yet because at Ajax he was flying also going on the outside of the defenders.
