  1. Seo Seung Jae is so damn good! Definitely the MVP for this game, steep smashes and rock solid defense!

Wang Chilin continues his poor form, hope he gets back up again

  2. It’s not an upset or surprise at all. Seo Seung-jae has been very good since the Korea Open, either with Kang Min-hyuk or Choi Sol-gyu, & he also gets good results in XD despite having not-so-good partner. Lee/Wang, on the other hand, hasn’t reached any SF in 2022 (except for the Taipei Open where most of the top pairs skipped).

  3. The Koreans would match (or usually surpasses) Lee/Wang on defense. Lee/Wang were very prominent with counter attacks last year but have been lacking lately. They've had the tendency to lose patience and makes mistakes. WCL definitely felt the pressure to finish the rally faster and doing so resulted in a lot of mistakes.

  4. Its NOT an upset. Actually if u were to look @ H2H count of Choi/Seo they won against Wang/Lee the most out of other players by a huge margin!!
