The best decision that chelsea board made was signing Kovacic on permanently. Alot of plastic fans were ranting then, They have swallowed there word. I am beginning to wonder what next for kante. Cos Kovacic and Jorginho combo is making alot of sense

I keep saying over and over, Sarri had Kovacic on lockdown, recycling the ball in the center. He was possibly the only player, along with Jorgi, that stuck religously to what was demanded of him by the coach. This season we're REALLY going to see how amazing that lad is. So bloody strong on the ball, can dribble as well as Hazard, now we just need to see those Assists start racking up. CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START!!!!

does anyone know how Kovacic is holding up after that last challenge he received? It didn't look good.
He looks wayyyy better under Lampard. Sarri restricted the hell out of him. So far in pre-season Chelsea looks really good. So much more connectivity in the play without Hazard.
Real has a problem this and last season on his position, we all knew why He didn`t want to play for Real anymore and I would do the same, if I was in his position… they fucked him three times in CL finals – Mateo did smart thing and won the Europa League tittle

Sarri wanted everyone to play a quick short passing game so this crippled Kovacic's ability plus it was a new league for him. Now with different instructions and tactics with more freedom to express himself we are starting to see the Kovacic real passing range and dribbling skills. He is VERY talented and technically extremely gifted.
