  1. A true professional putting his country ahead of trying to selfishly trying to set records! ! It's why he does not get the praise or attention as one of the world's best center backs he does not want it ! He is happy knowing he earns his paycheck by doing what he is paid to do ! And that is with a football not on social media or given scripted interviews ! Why are France more successful than England compare those two ! Maguire gets more attention than Messi and actually believes he is underrated some players have forgotten what they are supposed to be doing for a living ! I think they follow the Kardashians ! Varane must be every mangers dream player !

  2. nooooo he is my favourite player… will miss him wearing the france jersey but this means he's committed to man u so I guess its good 🙁

  3. I was abit shocked when I saw this news break but I guess it's understandable. I mean he's literally won everything so retiring from international football will hopefully help him prolong his playing career at United where he'll have more recovery time to rest & prepare etc. He's been a one hell of a reverent to his country & all the French people should be very proud of him

  4. As a British United fan, DON'T LET THIS MAN GO UNNOTICED as this "decent 2nd Ramos follower CB" that many rivals and media outlets tried saying. ELITE level Centre Back Raphael Varane Currently 4x UCL, 1 x WC, 3x LaLiga and now about to add an English trophy to his cabinet with the Carabao. Show some respect to a World class Centre Back a blessing to UNITED👏🏼👏🏼🇫🇷

  5. Well is so early to call it quit already but maybe he is thinking he has won it all and is about time he gives others the chance to impress, wish him well

  6. He's scared of stiff competition posed by the young players currently in the French national team. He doesn't like frustrations. Besides, he's won all. He has actually overachieved.

  7. I'm not surprised, in fact it's what I've expected the moment I the wc final ends. Deschamp made a huge youngsters gamble in that match.

  8. Varane is an old fashioned gentleman of a footballer, a breed of footballer that is close to becoming extinct. I'm really not sure that playing with the new Mbappé generation is a thing that he cherishes.

  9. The best centre back in world football. His reading of the game and positioning is unmatched amongst current defenders. Rarely makes a last ditch tackle just knows where to be.
