      Toon fan, Everton were well on top for the first 27 mins until Wilson scored and the offside goal if it stood it might have been a different game and result
      I am hoping you get a result at Leicester as it is a must win game for you guys
      I think you should get some of younger youth team players who may get you out of trouble into the first team

      it was a game that was as advertised, I expected Everton to come out hard and I knew this was going to be a character check. I am so pleased how we manned up, we could have been blown away by the energy and hustle. it was a game of maturity.

      I do feel for a lot of Evertonians, I don't think there is a rivalry, it's just another game but the Everton fans are people and it's not a nice place to be

      Another thing that I don’t see it mentioned, maybe because it’s subjective, but none of our players are likeable. I don’t mind being being shite with 0 points, if only some of these players were worth supporting them.

      News just in. It's just been reported that the whole, Everton squad was seen in their souvenir shop, but all the stock of rubber rings, and arm bands, from the kiddies, section. The reporter asked one Everton top player, why as everyone been buying arm bands and rubber rings, the player replied it's for when Everton get relegated, we'll all be ready to jump ship.

      One big problem with Michael Keane is he dosen't see the danger quick enough he's not a Jaqielka or a Terry
      he is looking at the ball while the forward is kicking it! too late, Everton have become worse since they brought
      him back, he is like Dave Watson o.k. when the ball is coming towards him, head or kick it away, that's not good
      enough these day's, I didn't think Watson was a good centre back, likewise Keane, just not good enough.

      I still think we can do it. We can. Regardless of their form at the time, we beat Arsenal, held Liverpool, City, Spurs, and Chelsea to draws. We 'can' do it, but that's not the issue though, is it? The issue is what it has been getting on now for decades: 'Will' we, regardless of 'can'?

      It's not too difficult to argue that season is the worst since the 1950s but let's get it right. Discounting the season with no crowd, which was weird for everyone for good and bad, how many seasons have gone by where we've beaten top 6 teams, but then (and no disrespect) lost – in many cases season after season – to the likes of Stoke, Burnley, Watford, Wigan, Reading, etc, etc?

      We used to call them 'bogey teams', or 'claret and blue' or 'London' curses. Now we're just shit with no excuses left. Recent seasons it's like watching a load of progressively shitter reboots of a movie that was shite in the first place.

      The Pickford thing, hes just a Mackem. Literally nothing other than that really 😂. He gave it back in a few games in the past, so he gets it more now because it winds him up. But all mackems are fair game, as are Geordies to any Sunderland fan.

      Dyche has to go at the end of the season – whether we stay up or go down. He should NEVER have been appointed as Everton manager. He's proven with Burnley how limited he is, and now proven it over the few months he's been at Everton. End of the season – get him out, bring Potter in.

      Also, this goes in hand with Baz's question about, will changing just the board make a difference? – no, it wouldn't, the manager has to change, the way we bring players in has to change, and ultimately the squad has to change…all this before we can even think about being a better team.

      When we go down and sell most of the players, will be quite depressing sat languishing in mid table in the Championship, the thought of that is depressing in its self!

      Newcastle fan who was there. Your fans can't do any more. Superb analysis from yous on here. We do have a model now and one of our biggest signings was Dan Ashworth to provide a full coherent vision for the club. Your players put lots of effort in but you're right to call it "bluster" ..I said to my mate at the game "if we can see their huffing and puffing off, that's all they've got"
      Quality up front is key. Everton one of the great clubs (forget this recent shite slinging) and its a weaker premier league without a strong Everton. Best of luck lads

      Why don't we just try playing 2 forwards we need to score goals to win games because a point here and there won't keep us up.Just try DCL and Simms up front against Leicester.

      Lads ive supported wolves since 68, watched us go down to division 4 , couple of minutes away from completely going out of business, took a local councillor to reMortgage their home to give us time to survive, then Bully and co drove us through the divisions, Everton will bounce back got a massive fan base and great supporters the club even if they go down will bounce back, wolves were in div1 6 seasons ago, Everton like wolves one of the original 12 , all the best lads

      Ped can't even admit when the team is playing well. We played well against Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Leeds. We were good against Newcastle for the 1st half and Newcastle were not. But Baz was right the quality shine tough with their first chance

      Newcastle fan – the point of “we just need to get over Pickford”.

      You’ll never get. It’s not just “banter” or “bragging rights”, it’s absolute hatred between Geordies & Mackems which isn’t just football related it’s 100s of years of history. Don’t mistake it for the family-safe Merseyside derby.

      Pickford has the same hatred, don’t mistake it. Just look at the way he was with Geordie Longstaff.

      Add to fact we genuinely get under Pickford’s skin (compare it to Jordan Henderson at Liverpool who our sh*t just bounces off) and it’s well worth it.

      Completely disagree with the 7 shots shout from Baz. We where shooting from 30 yards. Any team could rack up 50 shots a game if they just hit it everytime they got near the goal. Even with them 7 shots are xg was probably 0.2% max

      100% agree with ped.newcastle just sat back and let everton have the ball knowing we would doing nothing with it. As soon as they wanted to step it up they did and demolished us. Let's be honest any team can let everton have all the possession they want as we do nothing with it

      The body language of the teams as they came out onto the pitch at the beginning of the game was telling. Newcastle looked ebullient, eager to play. We, despite the wonderful welcome we gave them, looked miserable, defeatist and disengaged.
      I agree with Ped. Newcastle were just playing with us in the first half, waiting for us to make the inevitable mistake.

      I was nervous first 20mins, you looked better team but soon as the 2nd went it you just crumbled. It’s not good for you, the PL or football as a whole a club the size of Everton go down and we’ve been there so can definitely relate. When the fans are more passionate than the players that’s never a good thing. I really hope you can stay up because the league is so much better with you in it. If it wasn’t for the new stadium I’d say it wouldn’t be that bad to go down and get rid of the dead wood who only seem to be there for a payday but with the stadium if you do go down I worry you could spiral down as transfer budget will be next to nothing. Ps we’ll never stop bantering Pickford, he’s a Mackem and a 🦖. We have Englands REAL number 1 😉
