Al Nassr defeated Al Taawoun 2-1 on Friday to regain the lead in the Saudi Premier League, and Cristiano Ronaldo contributed to both of their goals.
The 38-year-old provided Abdulrahman Ghareeb with a magnificent long-range through ball from midway in the 17th minute, setting him up for a composed right foot finish.
However, Al Taawoun, who are now sixth in the league standings, answered two minutes after the break with a beautiful volley from Alvaro Medran, a former midfielder for Real Madrid, Valencia, and Chicago Fire FC.
Al Nassr, however, would not go down easily and scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds left. Luiz Gustavo, a former midfielder for Bayern Munich, fired a shot that Ronaldo deflected back into Abdullah Madu’s path.
