As Chelsea fans we need to understand that Rafinha had already agreed personal terms with Garza months prior to us bidding for him so it only makes sense that the player would be respectful to the club that he already agreed personal terms with and give them a chance to match Chelsea‘s bid
I would like to see 2 cbs coming in who can play in a 2 so we don’t become predictable. Ake and Kounde are both a 3 CB specialists. 1 is ok, but I don’t want to see both. If Azpi stays he can fill the roll of Kounde for this season making Ake the priority. Fast, aggressive, versatile player that has been coached under Pep and Chelsea youth academy. I’m ok with that. Our outside 3 I understand need to be very adapt at one on one’s. Trevor and Sarr are not that. So, that being said I think in this order De Ligt (play in a back two or on the outside of a 3 – on the right). Ake (plays on the outside of a 3 – on the left and can cover as a LB & LWB. Koulibaly (plays in a back 2 or in the centre of a 3 – can play either side). Looking at our squad that’s how I see TT thinking.
Seems like players do their best when they are happy. Maybe that's why CFC have had such poor signings at 9. Always looking for the big name and paying them so much they can't say no. Then they get here and realize they made a mistake, and play poorly. It's more about that than about fan grudges.
Not keen on players with no interest in Chelsea. Best we move on to more interested players.
