  1. Not sure if this already has a name, but I thought the ‘stab’ technique fits – there’s no real follow through with his leg, it’s almost a sort of more lateral chip shot..
    I think it’s pretty unique, no other top passer today comes to mind who frequently use this sort of technique. Look at a Trent, Toni Kroos or KDB and you’ll typically get a really complete follow through after making contact with the ball.

  2. I use this technique quite often. All it does is it puts backspin on the ball, so the ball slows down when it gets to the attackers feet and makes it easier to control. Just proves how well he is in the number 6 role.

  3. Is this technique specific to Kimmich? I feel other footballers use this technique also. Paul Scholes would often do this too. Or am I missing something?

  4. This technique is hard to do while the ball is moving fast…you have to control it to get a better connection with the ball,great technique tho🔥💀
