  1. What a win!!!! Let’s gooooo!!!! Let’s keep this going and get a win at Elland Road this Saturday against Bournemouth. If we get these 6 points before the World Cup break that’ll be huge!!! MOT

  2. Thanks Ger great video still on a high here!! Adams gets better with every game give him the armband and tie him down to a long contract!!! Really enjoyed the 49's video great insight 👍

  3. Brilliant result on Saturday night however it will mean nothing if we don't win against the teams around us. Personally after Saturday it is time to drop Patrick Bamford altogether. He's not a premiership player & never will be. A couple of new strikers and a left back required in January. Another great video from you Ger.

  4. I noticed the rasmus mistake as well. It's a massive weakness in our system because how many of our other players have done exactly the same thing. We seem to to prefer to defend with numbers without any real poise our players all seem to expect some1 else to mark the player and the result seems to be no1 does. If that .asked sense? 🤣

  5. Quite agree that Forshaw should go and Lang shouldn't come.
Summerville is a great close control player and can win pens and score plenty for us. But I would play him as a front two.
Our system works against those who attack us, but we need more width to break down the defensive opposition.
I'd rather have Rodders up front scoring goals and nothing else over Bamford scoring nothing and missing sitters. Glad you noticed his poorly controlled " assist".
Let's buy a good target man for a striker in January, a good biggun compliments a good littlun. (Chapman -Wallace style). So maybe against defensive opponents we could go , dare I say it, 4-4-2 , or 3-5-2 to give us more width.

  6. Nice one Ger!! Cooper, the lesser of two evils (lorente being the other) i’m afraid his time may be up, great capn but too error prone. And lets see what happens vs Bournemouth on Sat, jesse has said he has more than just plan A, he will need it.. if we loose his position becomes more fragile again, do we want the club to stick with him?

  7. You Said have a Look at the u21s . You'r right they are really good. I Wish Marsch has a good Look as Well. There are two Players i would give minutes in the First Team. He finally gave Willy a Chance and He delivered. Now Try Joseph and Perkins. You will never No If they are good enough or Not without giving a Chance there is nothing to lose

  8. Ger, another great balanced game review. While Liverpool has struggled, we may be forgetting that they are high quality side, and they are going to be dangerous in a number of game moments. As such, defensively, you cannot lose concentration, and Rasmus did, in an otherwise strong performance. As for Cooper, I am becoming more convinced that as a defender, once you are on the wrong side of 30, it becomes increasingly difficult to perform at a high level against lightning fast/quick/technically proficient attackers that populate first division sides. Look at Virgil, arguably one of the top defenders in the EPL in the last 5 years. The games, and the years, are catching up to him now.

As for Gnonto, to thread that pass through 3 (THREE!!) defenders was astonishingly clever. My kid played high level youth soccer, with and against some future professional players (including a few who got national team caps), and that sequence for Liverpool reminded me of youth soccer, where doubling at touch and aggressively closing down is one of the first things your learn. (Aside; at one game, two of my son's teammates failed to do so right in front of me, and I moaned so loud, the coach took me aside afterward and said, "You're right, but let me dress them down.') Say what you want about Leeds defensive lapses, THAT failure to close down was inexcusable. The video review for that group will be very painful!

Finally, as for Bamford, let me defend him a bit. His check to Gnoto in that goal sequence allowed Gnonto to thread that ball — it's additional evidence, that Bamford makes good movement decisions to combine with teammates. As for the horrible touch, since Bamford knows how to play, I bet he was thinking, "Strike the ball with the closer foot one time in the appropriate fashion." Most strikers, incorrectly, let ball run too often across to the opposite foot, which often leads to off target shots. But Bamford in this instance SHOULD have done the technically incorrect thing given that his feet were straight under his shoulders when the ball was arriving. As I have mentioned, he knows how to play the 9, but sometimes you need to act instinctively and "out of the box."

  9. Any manager can’t make this team any better, CF And LB needed as well as a CH it’s ridiculous how many chances we miss, and calamity cb

  10. Re bamford s " assist" I was sure after he messed it up that that would be the end of the goal chance. .. because of that it took me a few seconds to really understand that Summerville had scored!

  11. Thanks Ger, good succinct show as always, I agree with you regarding Noah not a player we need, so please I hope they do not waste time touting him. So much positive from last weekend I will not bother just repeating your commentary, but we do have to maintain it now, we must beat Bournemouth who are last in shots on goal, last in possession of ball and 2nd last in GD -16 (2nd to Forest). It really is one of those "No reason we should lose this game to".
Loved seeing Gnonto on the park, what a little pocket battleship he is.
    Take care Ger… MOT

  12. Hello Ger good to hear from you again still feeling good with the epic result at Liverpool 🦚. To be honest I wouldn't bring in Lang seems he could disruptive in dressing room don't want someone who thinks of himself instead of the team. Good luck to Adam Forshaw. Hopefully the under 21s can progress in the cup 🏆. Mr Meslier was outstanding like you say we need to carry this form into Bournemouth match at Elland Road 🏟️ has to be a win vital to me . Willy what a player this lad can be goal assist for your debut at Liverpool 🤩🤝 thanks Ger 👏 for the video Top man All Leeds aren't we, marching on together, we all love Leeds 🦚🇮🇨👊

  13. Yes to a quality left back, get Pascal in the middle. And would love to see youth get more of a chance before buying a striker. We have real quality in that age group, would be sad to see them pegged back by signing a striker.

  14. Just a note on Noa Lang, he was actually singing about opposition (Anderlecht) fans who are known as the Jews……so the story got blown out of proportion by Jews who are always quick to claim victim status.
He didn’t receive a suspension or fine, just wanted to point that out.
Also, I’d sell Harrison in Jan to Newcastle and replace him with Lang cos he’s got more goals in him, and we need goals.

  15. Thanks Ger. I hope everyone’s still buzzing after the Liverpool match😊. Noa Lang is a big no from me.we don’t need a disruptive racist in the dressing room. Side before self. ALAW

  16. What a fantastic result! I really got a kick out of watching that Liverpool streamer throwing a temper tantrum after we made it 2-1. Also loved hearing Carragher moaning and raging throughout the broadcast — I hope anybody that happened to drive by him on their way home remembered to keep their windows up.

I'm not sure what we should do to break down these low blocks, even big budget sides like Chelsea struggle against it. It seems like our attacks are predicated on winning the ball and getting it into the box before the defense can regain their shape, but well organized teams don't seem to have much trouble with it. Someone suggested that we buy a target man like Chris Wood, but I don't think spamming crosses into the box is an effective tactic at this level.

Brereton-Diaz seems to utilize the same parts of the pitch as Sinisterra and Harrison; I don't see him having the same impact playing centrally, at least not in this league. Besides, I think he and his agent would nix any January deal in favor of waiting until the summer and earning a massive signing bonus.

  17. Still not convinced on Lang if he’s got a bad attitude, Think Saturday showed playing the young ones at the right times can pay off. Spot on about Cooper, Kock looks better every game and it’s not rocket science the we just need to bring Quality in now instead of looking for bargains, think Wagner should be a deal to get over the line a proven CB and SF. Glad the hangover has passed Ger Lollol😂 #MOT

  18. As usual, great content…

Isn’t the issue that we have is that the center defense collapses? For example, if we were to get a LB of quality (equal to or better than Struijk…) would we still have the same issue in the center? Suppose Christensen, Koch, Struijk, and Chilwell (or Zinchenko, or Robertson, or Alphonso Davies…) were the defensive line, wouldn’t the issue still be the center?

My point is not to bemoan the players mentioned – they are very, very, very good. Instead, the issue is:
To successfully play RedBull football you have to have an extraordinary defense to keep chances from occurring, OR have such a strong Midfield + Striker (Haaland-esque…) that the opponent is significantly out-scored – or is so worried about getting significantly out-scored that they cannot press the defense effectively.

So, the priority should be, MUST BE, on acquiring a very high-calibre striker. And those cost money. Real money. Out-of-Leeds-spending-budget money…

Doesn’t this also solve the sit-back-and-not-play issue we have with time-wasting teams? If we are eminently dangerous every time we get possession, it will reduce the advantageous use of time against us – if Leeds opponents are down by one or two goals, they cannot sit back and time waste, which plays directly into the RedBull style, yes?

So, the absolute number one priority is NOT a LB or CB; rather, the key is an absolute top flight striker.

    Or am I missing something?

  19. All goals are preventable, if wasn't for mistakes we would never have any goals, think we have to forgive Kristanson for the goal, unless he starts to make a habit of it.

  20. Great video as always Ger. Completely agree on Cooper. If he plays he’ll be the one to make a blunder, but if he doesn’t play the whole back 5 make mistakes 😅

  21. We don’t need or want Lang. As a team that claims Side Before Self as our motto, his attitude doesn’t fit never mind his politics.
Definitely missed you yesterday, Ger! Can’t be helped, I know, but just wanted to say it. Your opinion is always worth hearing and you’re pretty fair and balanced in your thoughts.

  22. I see comparisons with Tyler Adams, Billy Bremner and David Batty.
Tyler has to be considered as Captain soon as he looks like a real Leader on the pitch.
Hopefully I'll see you later on tonight. I have subscribed to the American Leeds Podcast.

  23. Sorry Cooper is not better than Llorente, not even close. DL at fault for 1 goal this season at Brentford, Cooper 3 goals. Cooper, paddy & Ayling shouldn’t be anywhere ether starting team

  24. Well ger love the content i was at the match in the Liverpool end with brother hes a pool fan its was priceless 🤣 some buzz adams is animal never stop bamford look like he doesn't want to be there to be honest

  25. Trust this board. Priceless! We're in a desperate and a critical need of a left back and a striker (seasoning-defining factors) and they turn their gaze towards another winger. Classic case of priorities all wrong – vintage arse-way about strategy! Honestly, orta needs to be shot with his own ball of excrement!

  26. I absolutely agree with the views expressed here regarding Noa Lang and his anti-Semitic comments and gestures which you are quite right in saying he has never apologized for. I’m not from Leeds but I know the city has a significant Jewish heritage, that’s a good enough reason not to have a player with this track-record at a club called Leeds United. The second part of the name of our club should not be forgotten because any sort of religious, racial or cultural invective, hatred is divisive, leaves us disunited. Irrespective of a Jewish heritage any right minded organization, football club should stand against this. It sounds mad saying something as basic as this but there is so much hatred in the world today, making it a much more odious place at times than say, twenty years ago when this would have been unthinkable. There must be a way for us to voice our opinion to Leeds board. By the way, it’s one thing having a celebrity manager like Gerrard potentially take over (he’d be gone before long) but the image and reputation of Leeds Inited would be stained with a player like Lang. Having said that, will someone tell Jesse Marsch to start Gnonto and Gelhardt at the weekend and give Perkins a run out . Gnoooooooonnntttoooo! A lovely young man!

  27. Glad you mentioned Koch Ger, I thought he had a blinder of a game!
The thing that impressed me on Saturday was how calm we looked- at no point in the game did we look panicked, even when we lost the ball, we had the composure about us 'til we got it back that was lovely to see.
every player that Marshe has brought in has been fantastic, and he really needs to be given credit for that.
After watching how we played against Arsenal and Chelsea and Liverpool, I reckon Man U must be shitting themselves!!
    🤣
REALLY can't wait for Saturday now….
    🤘🤘

  28. Can't wait for the first channel to just ignore the football, and just comment on the LUFC reaction/news channels performance. I'm sure you'd be a steady 7-8 every week.
