Buster Douglas – Is an American former professional boxer who competed between 1981 and 1999. He reigned as undisputed world heavyweight champion in 1990 after knocking out Mike Tyson to win the title. His win over Tyson is regarded as the biggest upset in boxing history. Douglas was a 42-to-1 underdog going into his 1990 fight against Tyson, who was undefeated and considered to be the best boxer in the world for his domination of the division over the previous three years. Defying expectations, Douglas would knock out Tyson in the 10th round to claim the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles.

Say what you will about Buster Douglas' up and down career but the one thing that remained consistent throughout was his fast, snappy jab. Very few fighters in history have been able to knock their opponents down with just the jab alone and Buster was one of them. An excellent fighter at his best who pulled off the biggest upset of them all! Also just to let everyone know I'm moving house tomorrow and wont have my internet fully sorted until May 2nd so there wont be any main uploads on the channel for about 2 weeks, stay tuned I'll be back soon! patreon.com/haNZAgod
Was literally waiting for this 1 luv how he throws it thank you
Gotta love a snappy jab
Nice video Hanzagod Buster had a good jab and was the first boxer to upset Iron Mike Tyson by KO.
He could have been one of the greats. He had all the tools but was very inconsistent.
Dynamic jab. Classy!
Great job, haNZAgod.
That's a helluva jab right there, boy
Imagine having a 100 quid on him in the tokyo fight lol
Now that i look at it, he has one of the best jabs for a heavyweight. Up there with Riddick Bowe and Sonny Liston.
He had a lot of natural talent obviously. He just didn't take boxing as serious as he could have.
Been waiting for this. He and Riddick Bowe at their primes would have been an amazing fight full of boxing skill. Great song choice as always. Appreciate your love for the sweet science.
Always knew that this guy have a great, but bad trained, jab. With a good trainer he could have a greater career
If only Douglas was a disciplined fighter …
Douglas at his peak was an A-class fighter and on the night he fought Tyson he would've given any heavyweight trouble.
Yes sir, great jab and unforgettable win over M Tyson. Good song with the highlights.👍👍
Very Underrated
Love it when you give the underdogs their due credit, Douglas being the ultimate case in point!
Appreciate the love towards Buster Douglas, it's often overlooked that he had one of the longest reaches proportionally for any Heavyweight at 6'3 with 83 inches. Also interesting to note that Tony Tucker said he had the best Jab and Oliver McCall said he had the fastest hands
Evander Holyfield is the greatest HW of all time. There's no debate. Just go to take a look at his resume and see the names he's beaten.
Dammmmn what a tune. A fitting tribute also.
He did have a surprisingly good jab.
It's crazy I honestly was Just thinking how great he could of been
You can learn a lot from these vidoes. Any chance of doing a Eubank snr counter punching? Failing that, Frankie Rabdall or Holyfield counter punching. Cheers.
Watched the Tyson/Douglas fight multiple times and honestly don't see anything Tyson could've done differently, Douglas kept it moving not allowing mike to set his feet and unleash those vicious combos, he kept his hands high at all times, punished Mike from the outside with a strong fast whipping jab, Used his 6ft4 235lb frame to wrap mike up in clinches and push him back when too close for comfort, He showed no fear, let his hands go and didn't allow mike time to rest. Many put mikes loss down to a bad training camp, But it's quite possible that James Douglas just had the perfect style to destroy Mikes peek-a-boo style and would've beaten any and every version of Mike.
It makes me so happy to finally see a tribute to Buster Douglas. When he was motivated, he could have given any heavyweight a tough fight!
wht is crazy buster managed to beat tyson and buster hated boxing
again perfect choice of music
A talented fighter that on one night was "All Time Great" good. His fight with Tyson is still my favourite HW fight of all time, Douglas was simply perfect on that night.
This is so weird. All this week I was thinking of studying Buster Douglas' jab
Man, Buster Douglas could jab and I wonder what happen if Douglas fought in a jabfest with Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko and Riddick Bowe? This would have been a good fight between Douglas and the 6 I mentioned.
Never forget the first bell in the tyson fight, jabed mike up like he Was nothing dangerous
Douglas’ individual attributes are often overshadowed by the Tyson win, but his jab really was great. No telegraphing of it at all, it looks fluid and piston like at the same time.
Buster douglas could lead and counter with the jab effectively. Very few could do that. In his era he had the best jab, this was before lennox lewis and wladimir Klitschko.
