  1. Where are Arsenal getting the money from? Have spent a lot over last 4 years and Saliba, Saka and Gabriel all about to get huge wage increases.

  2. Literally everything Adrian Clarke said was wrong there. Rice would obviously choose Chelsea over Arsenal. He is a Chelsea fan and it is literally one season where the clubs have flipped. Same reason top players didn't sign for Leicester after they won the league. Next season the most likely scenario is things go back to normal. If you're a player you will choose Chelsea all day long. Unless Arsenal perform at this level for 3/4 years you would not gamble on them being anywhere near the top next year as a player. Also, Rice isn't good enough on the ball for a top side in that position. That position has evolved a lot and they need to be top technicians too. Rice is great at winning the ball back and driving forward but the rest of his game isn't up to the required level for a top side who dominate most matches

  3. I'd love for arteta to for gavi… not a gunners fan but I feel someone like gavi would just add great value to arsenal…
A stronger arsenal put more pressure on my team, United, to get better…

  4. I feel Arsenal is using Rice as a smokescreen for another player. Will go for a cheaper midfielder from other leagues. Have to remember that Arteta wants a big striker. As he has already said, he wants to evolve how Arsenal plays. It seems like he really wants Vlahovic. If Arsenal gets Vlahovic and a midfielder in place of Rice, then Arsenal will go ahead. Also, we need another FB. So that's atleast 3 players. Don't think Arsenal will spend a lot of money on Rice.

  5. No! Caceido is better suited in my view. Rice is rash and positionally not great at all I've watched him at the euros and world cup as well as the prem closely and up against top quality opposition he can be a liability. He has good energy but his range is limited and is just an okay player for me. Overhyped! So in a nutshell, No!

  6. Is Arteta really going to spend the budget by disrupting the midfield partnership of Xhaka and Partey. The reason he signed Jorginho is because he's a category of player you can leave out when the main 2 are fit. You can't do this with rice, he'd have to be a first choice, meaning one of Xhaka or Partey sits on the bench

  7. We need a 6 a 8 and a center half too challenge again next yr and if wer greedy a 9!scoring is not problem but extra goals are never a problem too have in a team

  8. Rice is the perfect engine we need in midfield, especially with all the competitions. I would not say he goes straight to the line up and displaces Xhaka. He would probably share minutes there but I do see him being a long term replacement for Partey. Rice won't have freedom to go Box to Box in an elite team because his game needs work technically but he surely is dogged and Exactly the physical beast we need.

  9. Caciedo is more suited to what Arsenal need. Rice doesn't offer enough going forward. Caciedo is more in the mould of the steel Arsenal need in midfield to replace Xhaka and help Partey on the defensive side. He can drive box to box but give much needed defensive protection.

Xhaka doesn't provide enough cover defensively and Rice doesn't offer enough offensively as I say. Rice is overrated. Just like every other the English player the media are trying to push him into a top club imo.

  10. One thing I noticed about this city squad and Liverpool of Past even Chelsea when they were winning the league was the physicality of the teams.

Our team looks quite light weight, when compared to City. Their players are all very big and even the more technical players seem to have bulked up quite a bit.
