  1. Quick thought: what if Jenz was brought in as insurance in case a big money offer comes in for Juranovic? Celtic clearly don’t want to sell, but if a £15m offer came in on deadline day, they arguably have his replacement already in the door now and are free to accept that offer without having a last minute scramble to secure a CL level replacement.

  2. Don't know anything about either player but what I'm told both sound more like squad players to me than regulars.. We desperately need a tall player in defence who is good in the air so hopefully the German is that man.

I also think like many fans we could do with an aggressive midfielder .. O'Riley and Hatate are dreadfully timid in the tackle .. but Ange doesn't seem to think so, so let's see! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💚💚

  3. Mooy is going to surprise so many people — once up to speed and required fitness levels. An excellent player! Capable of playing either role — DM or as she has shown domestically and internationally — AM. This is a very shrewd decision by the manager!

  4. Cheap as chip signings when team have millions and in champs league ..We have no chance as are not signing in Quality needed and especially Cback in need .

  5. Ralston – Why did we extend?
Taylor – Not a first team player
Hart – Egotist, not the right fit
    Starfelt – Bomb scare.
    Rogic- Just get the gun.

    Mooy… gone by Christmas 😏.

Thanks for another great update. Cheers.

  6. Aaron Mooy in the short term is a decent signing,Ange obviously trusts him to do a job within his system. This might not suit some fork lift driver from Bellshill or something.Trust our boss please eh.Some amount of whining going on here.

  7. re jenz- his heat map data indicates he has spent a lot of time at left defence, either at left centreback or fullback. the heat map indicates he is quite versatile at the back, so i think celtic have their back up for starfelt.. he is also 5cm taller, which will help . i still say scales should not have been loaned out, though.

re mooy- i keep hearing this scenario of mcgreggor being pushed further forward, but mcgreggor is predominantly left side attack, and that bit of real estate already has turnbull and hatate. mooys heat map indicates a right flank attacking bias, so he is probably going to be deployed right in tandem with orily.

celtic lost rogic and bitton , and you could argue mooy kind of covers both those losses. whilst mooy doesnt have rogics running game, the data indicates he is just as effective in attack in terms of distribution and possession, and he is better defensively, and he can sub on in a holding role, just like bitton , but a lot more mobile and effective

celtic are stronger due to his presence.

  8. Pretty sure it was the Huddersfield fans that dubbed him 'the Pasty Pirlo'. Dont worry about his age. His game was never based on raw speed and he's always been durable. Great signing. Can play anywhere in midfield effectively. Bags of experience which will help the young guys.

  9. Moritz a Grand Ol’ Team to play for.

I watched Moritz’s highlights, he looks a natural left, maybe he’s two footed. The reel left me thinking he’ll surpass Starfelt. Starfelt did well but no one honestly thinks he can’t be replaced; his natural demeanor gives the impression he’s a bit clumsy looking (‘bomb-scare’).

  10. A good, level-headed analysis. I'm not even a Mooy fan (far from it, actually), but there's some sense to his signing. There may well be another player come in before the window closes, but building/strengthening the team was always going to take more than 2 summers (with 1 rushed at that).

  11. 31 is not old for some. He might have his best two to three years in front of him. Admired and inspired by Ange might be just the ticket, old chums. 👍

  12. We’re still at the quantity over quality stage. Be prepared to not win a lot of trophies this season. Mooy hasn’t kicked a ball for ages but should be ok against SPL canon fodder . The CL is another matter. Be prepared for one or 2 humpings. The other guy seemingly could have signed last season but ended up in France.🤷🏻‍♂️ Word from France is that he wasn’t great last season , a squad player. Just wondering if the board went for Ange because he told them he could do the job on the cheap. Just a thought. Meanwhile the buns go out and sign Davies ,just like that. They still have the money for Bassey to spend as as well. They might yet qualify for the Champions League group stages and the money that will bring them.🤔 Just a thought.
