Chelsea were threatening, but actually they didn't offer much final third threats when spurs were playing their defensive lineup, they get a goal from a set piece, how many times do you think Koulibaly is scoring them, once a decade? The other goal came from spurs going for the win, taking risks, it backfired but it's the right attitude if you have title hopes. Some questionable decisions but I've never been a fan of the 'we didn't get that decision so that's why we conceded'. They had 90 odd seconds after the foul on Havertz, plenty of time to regain composure and defend, they even regained possession briefly. Decisions don't always go the right way, but that's football. Romero was a bit of a moron though with Cucurella, loved the equaliser though. As a neutral hoping for the end of the City and Liverpool two horse race this was promising, and the most entertaining game I have seen for ages.
Close the gap 😂😂😂 last time a remember Chelsea is miles away with trophies 🏆 while spurs have empty cabin with out a single trophy ! Please stop being hypocritical! Spurs are far behind Arsenal, Chelsea and united, Liverpool and city ! Leicester city are better than spurs at least they won 🏆
I really think the premier league are over protecting referees. He should be sew and held accountable for some of his decisions. I think things will make more sense if Football clubs can sew referees for damages. I really want to see Chelsea sew Anthony Taylor & the refereeing VAR over this.
The ref was a great signing for Tottenham. Top top signing!
Karen Carney isn’t quite good enough yet. I fully support women in this role becoming more popular but someone like Alex Scott is far better
what gap there was only about six points between them last season wasn't there I don't really understand this question personally ie last season Chelsea started the season well but their form fell off a cliff and in the end they finished third but closer to the fourth placed team spurs than the second placed team liverpool basically m city are the team to beat clearly so the gap to make up for all of the others is to them imo finishing third or fourth ain't exactly the dream is it lets be honest?🤣🤣
Spurs have had such a overrated window, they've signed players who don't raise the ceiling in the squad. They could've made the signings they've made with Europa League football. Very poor team technically who only thrive in one game state (counter attack)
Dear sky. Let us have roy keane and not karen and greham. Yours, the rest of the fans.
Anthony Taylor and dean needs to be sacked by the morning pulling hair? Is that normal straight red card and free kick the other way
It’s no where near shrinking, they have no trophies. 0 trophies. Tottenham are worlds away from Chelsea
Main reason I don't like the Spurs is that they always get the decisions to get points out of the games they don't deserve! As if they buy the refs!
Since when you can pull hair that violently and not get a card and give away a free kick??
As a spurs fan I’m the biggest fan of Chelsea’s defence koulibaly azpi Thiago silva cucurella and reeve James is just mental it hurt me lol
Spurs have a dusty, empty trophy chest, a wonderful stadium and Antony Taylor. Much to celebrate.
The resilience and character was more of the match officials including VAR than the Tottenham team. Tell me one player that performed well? They were all pocketed and pundits can still compare the two teams? Tottenham still have along way to go.
Since when can you pull a players hair and get nothing for it VAR is proof we got a clear video the referee is against Chelsea
If this incident had happened in the Tottenham 18yard it would have been a penalty y not in Chelsea 18.
A reminder of what happened against man u, tailor is always against Chelsea.
That's laughable spurs still hasn't won a trophy 🙄
Anthony’s family are in danger
Always love the start of the season. Teams who were 💩 last season win a few games at the start of this season and its can they contend 😂 fs man theres hardly even been a ball kicked 🙈
Who is Anthony taylor? I’m seeing it everywhere
Spurs have drastically improved their hair pulling and ref conning technique
The fact that you’ve just introduced a woman to a show because England women won the euros proves how sexist sky sports have been. Would have been better off sticking with the original panels.
Cut it out! Spurs haven’t closed the gap, Anthony Taylor did a great job today. I wonder how much he is getting paid to completely give games away against CHELSEA!
I don’t think Chelsea are that good, they just got up for a big London derby, they were rubbish against Everton
Tottenham aren't really anywhere near the top 2. They have a great front three, but Lloris, Davies, Dier, Sessegnon, Emerson and Hojbjerg wouldn't get anywhere near Chelsea or Arsenal's team's. Let alone the top two's squads. The club just don't have the pull or the funds to fix that in time to keep Conte at the club and not sulk himself out of the job which will happen within the next 18 -24 months. Conte is a great manager though and while he's there, they can obviously compete for top four. But the squad overall is too weak to be a threat to anyone who has any aspirations above simply finishing fourth. Europa league will affect Arsenal, so I still fancy Tottenham to still finish above them however. Chelsea is a bit of a mystery still, but they looked streets ahead of Tottenham today.
Are people stupid or something. Last time spurs finished above Chelsea was pre WC 2018. Utd have been better in recent times than spurs
Their 12th man really did make all the difference today, great signing by the tactical genius Conte.
FA war against Chelsea will never stop, what happened to the money from Chelsea sale FA?
It's a bit unfair to judge Tottenham as of yet. The new players need some time to get used to each other.
Because the ref robbed Chelsea any idiots can make any remarks
