How are you that delusional as a fan? Kompany dragged City? Bro they bought a whole new starting 11 and then another one. Liverpool brought van dijk and a few others and within a season he became one of the best defenders in the world then the season after was robbed of the ballon d’or. In that season he was not dribbled past and was on the winning team that knocked out Barca who had the ballon d’or winner 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. Kompany has NEVER been close. He lost that. Kompany did not drag them to the trophies. He bottled it in the late stages of the European tournaments. He was really good in the prem yes. But he’s been there since early 2010’s and left just before 2020 and never won 1 champions league with ALL that money injected into that club.
I am a Real Madrid fan and Guardiola is a better manager than Klopp. In fact, I actually want Klopp at Real Madrid someday and I rate him very highly. But Guardiola, although he is very annoying with the philosophy and sticking to his style, is probably the greatest manager to ever do it. I would only put Mourinho, Ancelotti and SAF in the conversation, Klopp has not reached those levels yet.
Van Dijk is clear of Kompany lol. Also I think Pep's best city team was the 2020-21 team that won PL and Carabao + reached UCL Final. The Aguero moment was truly insane, but I give the edge to Istanbul because coming down from 0-3 to beat that legendary Milan team, in the biggest match of club football… It doesn't get bigger than that.

Pit it this way. Kopp has been through thick and thin. He's took teams from the bottom to the top. He showed great loyalty to all his clubs. U really think pep would stay at city of he went through a rough patch and the money stopped? He'd move on to another team with tye means and funds for his ambitions. Kopp is better at judging players and communicating with his scouts for the budget he has. He makes 30m players 100m players. Pep buys the 100m players and that's that. Klopp is a better manager than pep. Because of the experience he has had with all aspects of clubs at different financial levels.1

Klopp is a good manager who is great at motivating players and developing young talents, but managers like Guardiola, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Ferguson changed football and Klopp is just not on that level (coming from a German, who saw everything he did at Mainz and Dortmund…).
