Big George Foreman had one of the most extraordinary careers during the long rich history of professional boxing.

Foreman won Olympic Gold in 1968, he was a two-time world heavyweight champion, and the most amazing thing about Foreman is that his two championship reigns were separated by more than 20 years. Indeed, the span between his two championship reigns included a complete 10 year absence from the ring, resulting in two clearly defined chapters during the long and illustrious career of Big George.

This career recap boxing documentary will provide a look back at the amazing career of Big George Foreman.

  1. I’m sort of happy he didn’t end up fighting Lewis. That one could have ended real badly for George. Or Lewis for that matter. I mean, if Rahman could knock him out, god help him if Foreman got off a lucky shot.

I am unhappy the fight between George and Larry didn’t happen. That would have been the defining old man battle for the ages. No idea what would have happened. Holmes had much faster hands and Foreman would’ve lacked his usual old man advantage of superior ring IQ and experience over his opponent, but Holmes was too flat footed by that point for me think Foreman wouldn’t catch him flush a few times.

  2. Well done video good sir.
What is crazy, they could not come up with the $ in 1999 for a Forman/Holmes fight but in 2023 someone comes up with millions for pay per views for instagram stars to box washed up MMA fighters.

  3. George is always a great subject.
He really was a freak of nature. Monstrous power sometimes seemingly from nowhere, and an astoundingly good chin.
Holyfield is on record as saying George was the hardest puncher he ever faced, including commenting along the lines of "even blocking some of his shots would shake you; it hurt".

I'd be willing to bet on the loss to Briggs being crooked as hell.
I suspect the powers that be wanted George to go away, and didn't want him getting in the way of a 'new' era; hard to imagine he'd have won against the also brilliant Lennox Lewis, mind you.
    Cheers

  4. He won another nine fights in 1988. And then you have Tyson fury who won two fights in 2022 , ducked one fight so far in 2023 , guess we have to get ready for Chisora 4 or knocking out Dillian Whyte like usual.

  5. 1st time I seen Foreman was on a taped delayed "Wide World of Sports" when he knocked out Frazier and was a big fan from there on out. When he came out of retirement I was keeping track of every fight. I checked all the boxing magazines and watched every match that was televised. I believe he won the Briggs fight and was definitely pissed! The people who watched that fight with me were all in agreement that George won. Looking back now? I'm thinking that was a good way too end his boxing career. 👍✌️❤️🙏👊
