For those who don’t know if the post shot expected goals Gate 7 mentioned are expected goals per shot taken against the keeper (how many should be scored) . If what gate 7 said about over 3 season the expected goals were 60 and saved 44 that’s around 5 per season which is slightly lower than Alison with the best in the prem being illan mellier from Leeds at 7.6 for the season. So pretty good if those post shot expected goals are correct.

Sorry to see Rui go but replacement looks good. Neves to Arsenal for £35m ??? Far too cheap IMO. And who would we replace him with…Palhinha ? Different type of player, will he provide the goals we need from midfield ? Those two together could have been pretty effective. In a perfect world, keep the quality that we’ve got ( apart from Saiss, Cutrone, Mir and co ) ….add Tarkowski, Palhinha and Vinicus up front and we’d be getting somewhere…..👍
I’m a Porto fan and Jose Sa never really impressed me at Porto. He was a decent shot stopper, but wasn’t that great with the ball on his feet.
Hopefully he’s gotten a lot better at Olympiacos 🙏🏼

Rui did save us points in his time with The Wolves. Thought his one weakness was perhaps I didn’t think he commanded his area as well as others . I like a keeper that comes out for crosses.
Like Manager Bruno I will be prepared to give Jose Sa time.

All things considered a “good bit of business” seems the best we can say. Getting Rui was a coup at the time and he has set a high standard but obviously he felt he wanted to move on and try Italian football. Fair enough after giving us three solid years. I like the sound of Sa and the move seems to have been very well planned. I do think though that he (and we!) would benefit from us getting in another top quality central defender particularly if we are going tobe playing 4 at the back.
In fact, you don't even know how lucky you are. They got José Sá, brilliant goalkeeper, much better than Rui Patricio soon Sá will be one of the best in the world.
Love Rui but he cannot defend that near post. His Goalkeeping really screwed Portugal in the euros this year.
Btw Jardim wasn´t sacked from Olympiacos because of the style of football. He was sacked because he was having an affair with the president´s wife lol
