  1. give bruno 3-4 matches and he masters whatever role/position you need him in it seems
I wouldn't mind seeing Bruno-Casemiro as the pivot players with Eriksen as the 10. With Bruno you get more defensive midfield control, bruno is less wasteful with his passes, control the pace of the match where needed. Eriksen can be himself up front creating. Also Sabitzer is better up top where he can make runs off Rashford/Martial up ahead. When in attack Bruno still gets around the box more then enough to get his assists/goals.

  2. Yeah, Bruno was the puppet master pulling all the strings and making United tick. I also think his leadership is very underrated, he is very intelligent and sets very high standards for his teammates.

  3. The Fernandes analysis against Everton was very interesting, it reminded me of how Andrea Pirlo played that Regista role at Juventus (2011-2015) with two from three, Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and Claudio Marchisio, who played the box to box enforcer type roles. It sounds like Ten Hag was using Sabitzer & McTominay in the same way. If he develops this formation we might see the return of a front two, as Juventus did?

  4. Glad you’ve made this video. His former coach at Lisbon specifically said in an interview not long after Solskjaer signed him that “he is an 8, not a 10, let him play deep” and we never listened to him. I love him wherever he plays and I hope this deep lying quarterback role continues because he is elite with space and time

  5. You can't just constantly throw Fred and Mctominay together. When Fred plays as a 6 he's much much better at being available for buildup at the back. He's not good at it or press resistant enough but he does actually get himself in space to receive. Whereas Scott (& Sabitzer), do not.

  6. Thank you for always backing one of our best players ❤️ Despite so many of our deluded fanbase have a hate agenda against him

  7. bruno would be so good in that modric role. Love the breadth of content from you guys recently btw. Switching things up ever to slightly but its great.

  8. Issue with Bruno as a #6 is obviously he is not great at defense.

At #6, he is what you call Regista. You still need a Case beside him. No problem if it's against a low block, but not against bigger opposition. 😊

  9. I think mctominay is no where near good enough to be a united player he’s not even a good midfielder he should change up to a striker just that proper 9 poacher , in the box , corners , none of that ball playing striker just a old school striker I think mctominay would be good for that because there is no doubt that he can win headers and he’s got a good finish ! It would be better for him because he is no where near good enough to be a midfielder especially at a club like Manchester United !

  10. Bruno can’t play CDM against top club they would kill us he is good to play there against mid table teams but playing him cdm against
Arsenal , Liverpool , Chelsea man city , Real Madrid , Bayern and few other top teams they would kill him we need a understudy to Casemiro asap ! That can help when casemiro is out !!!

  11. Great analysis of his performance and shows how Bruno will do whatever the team needs of him! I still think his best role is higher up the pitch as I do not think his press resistance is good and I was very surprised that Everton and Brentford especially did not do that more which allowed Bruno the time and space to do the buildup play. I'd prefer to see Eriksen and Casemiro do this stuff though and whoever comes in during the summer (Kokcu or someone else). Bruno and Sabitzer backing him up for the no10 role!

  12. Nice analysis and all, but i doubt we'll be seeing Bruno in this type of role much, if at all, for the remainder of the season, provided Casemiro is available.

  13. Joe: "[bruno is saying] You go I'll cover you"
It shows how much of a team we have now, rather then people/mercenaries who just want the limelight of playing for Manchester United.

  14. You failed to mention the difference between Bruno and McFred playing their previously is the team's shape. Maguire is well out at right back, previously he would have been central which would block the space for the dropping cdm. Ten Hag has cleverly shifted the non technical players as far away from the build up as possible. (Maguire on the touch line, awb out of sight)

  15. Joe is wrong about the "not all players think to drop back" point. it's always tactical. even the "be available" point from the Martinez pass is wrong because Sabitzer (cuz of the angles the system creates) was a viable option. the tactical switch was to ensure we always have 2 midfielders open for a pass (one short "recycle" pass, and a progressing pass) and recycle when there aren't. he's playing how Matic played by dropping between the CBs. for so long we've asked for a QB type player as if we didn't have one, when it was just not being used enough in game. Bruno was great but it isn't him, it's Erik changing the system to suit the players available

  16. His strength is definitely more in the number 10 but it’s great to see that he can also drop lower and get the job done if and when needed.
