The pair subsequently faced off before being broken apart by Ibrahima Konate, with referee Paul Tierney deciding to award both players with a yellow card.
The Swiss was clearly frustrated after not being awarded a free-kick following a clash with Ibrahima Konate.
FANS were stunned Granit Xhaka was not shown a red card after a fiery altercation with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
And those on social media felt the Arsenal man was lucky to avoid a sending off.

Coming from an arsenal fan, Yes xhaka shouldn’t have retaliated but at the same time what xhaka did first is what players do in football, it’s normal. To me trent caused a big argument by pushing him as you can also see Xhaka went away not causing anything after he had attempted to tackle him. They are both in the wrong with something, but I feel trent is more in the wrong.
