Roy is getting out of the players what Vieira couldn't. All those who clearly don't watch Palace beyind 3 minute highlights, and bleating that this would have happened under Vieira need to understand why he was sacked. Vieira turned a team of talented players into a weak, lazy team. 20th in the Premier League stats for both ground covered and sprints. Their heads would go down as soon as they conceded (unlike in the last 2 games with Hodgson). They would concede numerous last minute goals due to lack of concentration (rather than score a last minute goal, like last week). They didn't get a shot on target for his last 5 games, let alone score a goal. He was too soft, and wanted to be the player's friend. That's why he was sacked. Not the results. When Parish tried to get hold of him to talk about why things were like this, Vieira wouldn't call him back, or meet him. He had to go.
The fact is Leeds United transfers have been not good enough.

Leeds were great for the first 40 mins but then went 'missing' in the 2nd half. Our defence is by far the worst in the league when Wober is not playing. Whatever league we are in next season, this defence needs replacing. Devastated after the worst second half in years. Hopefully the buy out will happen and we will build a new squad.
