      You only realize modric greatness by watching he play, not just highlights. The influence he bring to the team is insane. But the things i love so much about modric is decision making. He know what to did it right at right situation. People use to clown him because ballon d'or know nothing about football. He was so fantastic at that year. And he not get so much love during real Madrid ucl hat trick with zidane and 2014 with don carlo. He was a backbone for los galacticos. And don't forget he was go through war, became refugee and lot of people not care so much about him when he come to Madrid even guti itself say he just a average. And yet he show why he so special. Guti maybe one of the most greatest talent but he would just forgotten. Meanwhile modric is the eternal legend of Madrid and Croatia

      Despite his age, his evolution from 2018 was older, in his last years of career we have seen his best version without a doubt. A unique midfielder who knew how to reinvent his football in different schemes. Then you think of iniesta/xavi and they are players made specifically to play in a dominating football with high possessions, however modric was able to adapt to a more physical and earthly, let's enjoy the football he has left.

      Truly a beautiful player overall. The trio of Casemiro, Kroos, and Modric was really special; maybe even more effective than Busquests, Iniesta and Xavi in terms of versatility. Kroos' pinpoint deadly pass, Modric's flair, game dictation and work-rate, and Casemiro, obviously a creative defensive beast, had it all. It's really uncommon for some to appreciate something while it's still there.

      I firmly believe that a footballer can play his best football until 40 max. The notion that a player is done when he nears 30 is absolute crap. I think it's all the game of mentality. Look at some elites, like Ronaldo, Messi, Ibra, Joaquin, Totti, Modric; they can still perform in late 30s. So what changes for most players? I think it's just about the hunger to succeed, to make that extra run, to drop-back, to be smart in duels; and ofcourse injuries effect too, but if an athlete is passionate enough, he can without no doubt go till 40 and play solid. Obviously, the motivation lowers down after decades of playing the game, but the ones who play because they enjoy can go as long as they want and take care of themselves. I believe Modric is one of those players. At the end of the day, it's the game of opinions!

      His calm when the opposide players put him under pressure it's just out of this world, few players have this ability and this are the best of the role such as Pirlo, Iniesta, Modric ecc..
