In Pro Stock Motorcycle, defending world champ Matt Smith denied Steve Johnson his third straight win, adding another great layer in their ongoing rivalry, going 6.842 at 198.35 on his Denso Auto Parts/Stockseth/Matt Smith Racing Suzuki to beat the points leader on a holeshot. It was a satisfying first victory in 2022 for Smith on a number of levels, including the fact that it was his first career victory on a Suzuki.

  1. Stevie J gave that race away big-time. I’m sure he’s pissed at himself.

    Great for Matt, though.

Word to NHRA: Just because Angie lost doesn’t mean you need to pile another 10 lbs. on the Suzukis !!

  2. Matt's out there , competitive attitude had the edge , don't care who you are , if you play straight you're ok with me ,πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

  3. Just like when the Harley Davidson V Rods and Beull's were faster than the Suzuki's NHRA made them add weight to each bike so here we go again it's time to add weight to the Suzuki's

  4. Yes nothing like Suzuki coming back and beating those other motors it's the sweet sound off the revs of an inline 4 cylinder goen thru the traps chop chop
