Speaking after South Korea’s 2-1 loss to Uruguay in an international friendly in Seoul, the Korean captain said he could have done more on the pitch this season to support his manager. ‘I should have played better,’ Son told Korean media, ‘I feel responsible for his departure, because I haven’t helped the club all that much.’ Son was the first Spurs player to speak about Conte’s leaving and wished his ex-manager well as he moves on.
