  1. Online abuse is bad, but if you’re always targeted because you’re bad and you’re playing bad then you should refrain yourself from updating as often.

Going on it and receiving negative messages and complain about it is like walking into high crime rate city shouting you have a million dollars.

  2. Maguire has no right to complain, he is talked about constantly and is the most expensive defender in history, all because he is english. If this guy was slovakian, hungarian, bulgarian, he wouldn't be a captain for man utd, he wouldn't be the most expensive defender and nobody would talk about him at all.

  3. So hypocritical of ESPN FC talking about social media and hate speech, criticism. Bunch of B.S when week in week out always criticising Ronaldo .and not even complementing him!!.Shame on you .

  4. It must be frustrating to see things written about you that are patently false. And it must be even harder for family to see someone they care about constantly berated and ridiculed. Maguire's a successful player, especially vis-a-vis footballers as a whole. People seem to enjoy trying to tear him down in particular and it is sad. A blend of Ale's and Kieran's takes work best for Maguire. Better to stay off and focus on the folks that actually matter – which does NOT include the losers & pions that get their jollies trying to bring him down.

  5. I don't even think its the bad to dreadful performances that irk people, people can sympathize with loss of form. Its Maguires obstinate pigheadedness regarding his performances, goals, always being picked, not having to prove himself. His pr team have failed to realize that he would be in a better position if he said less and showed humility. He should sack his pr team.

  6. It's not as easy as "you can turn off your phone." 1) A lot of people can't simply turn off their phone. It's an addiction. 2) You're asking someone to disconnect themselves from a huge part of the world and their reality. 3) Even if you do disconnect, the world around you won't, so you will still be aware, if indirectly, of what's going on and that will always be drawing you back in. It's not easy.

  7. Harry Maguire is a content commodity more than a soccer player. He is the worst thing that happened to English Football in recent years. He is better of being the clown in social media rather than a player in football pitch

  8. he is an average player at best english media and ex players hype their players so much when in reality they arent that good and thats the result they are super thick
