  1. This is PURE BULLSHIT, Cavani is from Uruguay, here in South America sayin "Negro or Negrito" to a person is REALLY COMMON EVEN WHILE THE PERSON IS WHITE AS MILK, WHY BECAUSE IS NOT A FUKIN INSULT ,European English culture needs to understand that here WE DONT USE NEGRO as a racist statement, we say Viejo-a (which means old) to our parents, negro negrito to our friends and an affection word, Europeans, the biggest slavery masters of all time want to deliver some teachings to the ones who suffered, I must say GO FUCK YOURSELF PL.

  2. This is stupid. Even Hispanicphobic. English and Spanish are DIFFERENT languages. You can't directly translate them. Negrito doesn't translate to n word or whatever else English word.

  3. What a ridiculous way of dealing with a personal contact with a friend. Punishment of cavani who just recently went into the premier league ? A scapegoat is right. They picked on him because of his spanish background. Heck I’ve been called negrito because of my last name.

  4. Remember when the whole PSG squad trolled Erling Haaland in that one pic!!!! Everyone except my boy Cavani!!! Psssh!!! That should say plenty about his character, he is not racist!! People seem to forget that!!

  5. You have to try SO hard to even find this marginally offensive. How do these clowns have the kind of time to look for ways to be offended

  6. The only people whose opinion and interpretation is relevant in my opinion are Spanish-speaking Afro latinos. Stop erasing THEIR identity. I am latina, I am not Afrolatina but we grow up using the word negro or negrito as endearment and NOT racism. The context MATTERS. When WE all sing "La negra tiene tumbao" de Celia Cruz and many other songs that use the word "negra" or "negro" in SPANISH it isn't meant to be racist. It's just our language! I am sorry English speakers appropriated OUR language to have it mean something derogative.

That is not to say there is no racism in Latin America. Of course there is. But an English, French, etc speaking crowd shouldn't dictate the interpretation of OUR language.

  7. I'm a black man u fan. And did not feel offended Cavani is one of my favourite players before he came to man u.. let's all just chill out.

  8. I am mexican and my sister is brown skinned and I always say hi negrita and now I'm in my early 30's and have been doing it since I can remember, it does not really mean lil black girl as yall non Spanish speaking folks think, es una forma de cariño and were not changing our language for yall no matter how hard yall try stay offended at our language, speaking Spanish is not offensive and if you think it is then fight me because I speak Spanish you racist jerks.

  9. Wait Uruguayans and other Hispanics don’t say “blanquito”.Cause in college my colombian orientation leader who isn’t even white(more mestizo in appearance) calls herself blanquita. And I’ve heard of terms like rubia,Rubio,Guerro being used to refer to people with blonde hair or a whitish appearance respectively

  10. Yo soy de uruguay alla cuando desimos negrito es con cariño porque no importa el color a todo el Mundo le decimos negrito tantos niños en el mundo muriendo de hambre pobrecitos y ustedes jodiendo porque Cavani dijo negrito no jodan

  11. Everything was okay until she said "we really don't say blanquito". I can say most of the people don't use often blanquito instead of that you can use "gringuito" which isn't also a derogatory term. It's just how attached you are to a person to call him with that nickname, you can't obviously call someone like that if you aren't really close to that person or else it'll sound like an insult. Just keep this in your mind before talking about racism in a different culture first know about the culture itself.

  12. As a Guatemalan/American I know for a fact that saying “negrito” in our culture is not racist. It’s just like saying “friend, buddy or pal to a dark skinned person. I know that it doesn’t translate well in other languages but remember that Spanish is a one of the romantic languages and some words carry way more affection and passion in Spanish or other romantic languages than those languages that are not considered to be romantic languages.

  13. I have been called negro and im not where close to a black people. its just a friendly term to call someone, of course you can use it offensive but its depends on the contexts

  14. Every contiennt and country has a different way of speaking and definition. I dont blame cavani for racism just like i dont blame suarez for racially abusing patrice evra because, their culture is different and that every country and continent has a different culture and langauge. every language and culture has a different meaning than the other.

  15. Evra talks shit just like always and he think that he is innocent all the time. He is not innocent. he is a liar.

THE FA DOESNT DO SHIT WHEN IT COMES TO ENGLISH PLAYERS RACIALLY ABUSING OTHER
