As the English say: Banter League!
He stopped the keeper from being able to do his job! The player purposely stood in his way!! The keeper was justified.
I picked up a guy double leg once, he ran into me as I was scooping up the ball. I was watching a bunch of MMA at the time. Halfway through I realized what I was doing was ridiculous so I didn't slam him hard or anything, but I still got a red card.
Wow. When I played soccer at Christian High School in San Diego we played Lincoln High School. We were the better team, but it was a road game, so it was pretty evenly matched. Their goalie roughed me up a bit when I got in between him and a loose ball. Coach went nuts, but the referee didn’t stop play.

Dam I just saw that kinda nice I thought I was in mma class.
If somebody bucked like that, on the street, only body slamming him would be lucky. He didn’t punch him while he was down. In lacrosse, if somebody took a low shot, we all laid him out. Shove a guy on the line in football enough, he is going to get you. Tackles jump the snap count to hit. Sports have rules. People have emotions. I’m tired of sports becoming ‘weak’ and crying about everything. Old school boxing had no limits to rounds.
The question is what do you think of the MLS Disco decision for a 1 game suspension?

I was a goalie in grade school..I was coached to defend my "space" with violence if necessary while making the violence seem to be a natural goaltending act. I did so a few times punching, elbowing and kneeing offending strikers. I did get an occasional yellow card. But this dude did not show any tact at all.
I say more of please. No more fake crying and flopping in football. Take lesson from hockey players 🙂
