Laporta could be forgiven for the first flop, but if now he goes all the way and agrees on the terms with Messi and then fails to register him or some other thing pops up then all of them are just plain idiots.

I'd love to see Messi back in blaugrana as much as anyone else. However, playing devils advocate, where would he play? Where would he fit in the squad? How would we pay him? Would LaPorta shoehorn him into Xavi's starting 11, or would he be content coming off the bench? We've already developed leaders in his position(s) since his departure. I'm just moderately concerned about a Messi return upsetting the current team chemistry we've worked so hard to get to this point. However, if somehow in the summer, we make room for his return by offloading some players to free up salary space as well as a position for him to drop into, bring him home!
