Watching this world champion is both fun to do and educational. I was however, shocked to see him brought down by Spain here who is smaller in height but very crafty and superb in his blocking.

Many times KTH’s foot would be close to the armor and yet no point.

I like the way Spain opens up the match with aggression and how he takes the lead with a point and then uses KTH’s own information against him by countering almost exclusively to KTH’s face during KTH’s offense.
I think where KTH makes a mistake this match is opting to go straight for points without forcing Yunta into a bad position first. Had KTH been opting for a force-out against Spain, I explain many times in the video that it would have forced Spain to commit more to staying in the ring which may have compromised his ability to block and defend with straight to the face counters.
In my opinion if KTH had been opting more for power cuts to disrupt Spains immediate head kick counters, the match would have opened up a little more for Korea to score more points. Instead, since KTH moves straight in for the points, Spain was more than happy to exchange at mid-distance with him, thus giving Spain the match.
