Cancelo has been a donkey this season. His defending has been atrocious and not shocked he lost his spot on the team. City was leaking goals with his error. But the buy option is absurd because he’s not worth that much. As good as Kyle Walker is, Cancelo couldn’t even replace him at right back and he had to go to left back.
This may work out for City. Tbh, I think they have to much “players”, so much so that they do too much in the ball. A defender that’s capable with the ball but prioritises defending may be beneficial, especially considering how much they’re conceding this season 🤷🏽♂️. Only time will tell

Overrated Pep is the one that has to go. He has taken by far the most talented group of individual players in the league and turned them into a frustrated, just above average team. And to me at least the signs are that it is only going to get worse.

Cancelo is a great player, but he has a tendency to make some important individual mistakes and he made to many of them in the games he played this season, so I think Pep was totally correct in letting other players play instead of Cancelo for some time.
Cancelo should accept that and work hard to get his spot back.
It seems like his ego has been to big for that.
And if that is the case, then loaning him out to Bayern is a good move.

The reason peps teams are so good is because he only has players that want to play for the club. Any player that isn’t motivated anymore (because he has already won the titles and medals already), can leave the club does not mater who that player is. Only players that want to play to win are in the squad and that’s the way it should be. Only hungry and motivated players, combine that with peps deadly possession play and you have a winning squad again.
