Inter Milan star Stefan de Vrij has asked the Italian club for some time to decide his future amidst interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United, according to SportItalia. The Holland international’s current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to expire at the end of the season. While the Italian outfit are keen to keep a hold of the 30-year-old, the defender has asked for until mid-February to decide his future. Apart from the interest in England from the Red Devils, the Magpies and Tottenham Hotspur, Spanish outfit Villarreal are also looking to acquire De Vrij’s services. The 30-year-old’s former club Feyenoord are also eyeing his return. However, at the moment, it is Newcastle who are ‘particularly interested’ in the Holland international. The Holland international helped the Serie A giants end their 11-year drought for the Scudetto in the 2020/21 season. However, the 30-year-old has not been as influential for Simone Inzaghi’s team.
