We needed someone to speak out against Gregg Berhalter's incompetence. It's unfortunate that few fans of the sport don't appreciate the courage it took Claudio Reyna to point out the deficiencies in US Soccer leadership. McBride announced his resignation months ago. Today his position is still vacant. Excuse Me but to Me the reason for that position to still be empty is exactly what is wrong with US soccer leadership. It's not surprising that the silence is deafening.
I love the World Cup. I was in Bari in 1990. I watched 4/5 games. I met Bora while having lunch before Costa Rica faced Czechoslovakia. In the round of 16. He holds the record for advancing with 4/5 different national teams to the round of 16. Brazil consistently fields a very talented team in each World Cup. The primary reason that Brazil only won the finals 5 times is their coach. Who cares how many friendlies you win what matters is a coach's abilities to recognize talent and build a team that can achieve results when it counts. Gregg Berhalter is a mediocre coach. Notice he used a symposium to tell his audience what great leadership skills he possessed. A great coach would have kept his mouth shut.

You're far too soft on Mckennie. He has been awful for both Leeds and Juventus. He hasn't been a shadow of the player he was right before he broke his foot. Lazy and gets caught out of position defensively. He shouldn't be playing the 6. Leeds should have just kept JM. The 2 coaches since haven't done anything different formation and even player wise and JM brought better energy to the sideline. They need a formation overhaul that doesn't include Bamford's whiny ass.
