      Mbappe has to explain everything to the press. That's some level of immaturity. Griezman being upset proves the he's only human, but does that need to go to the press. This French national team love the media spotlight too much. That said, even though I think Mbappe doesn't deserve the captaincy, france don't have many candidates for that role either, even the previous captain Hugo Loris wasn't really captain material, so it's understandable why they have to give it to their biggest talent with the giant ego because they don't really have anyone else. Let's just hope captaincy will make the teenage mutant turtle ninja more responsible on the pitch rather than playing for personal glory.

      It's an extension of the coach on the field. Lots of expectations for the one with the armbands( in sickness and in health). A good captain is important but not necessarily needed. You are all grown men. We are gonna be in the trenches together. Stop rocking the boat
