In this episode I’m joined by Art de RochΓ© of The Athletic for some Interlull Q&A. We took questions from our Patreon members about the demands of international football, changing combinations, the biggest surprise of the season so far, an Arsenal physio accompanying Thomas Partey as he went away with Ghana, the importance of the Man City game, whether this is just the start for this Arsenal team, and lots more.

What control video with zinny?
Don't know about anyone else but I'm looking forward to George Graham stylee defensive performances in some of our trickier games in the run in.Having a lead means we can hold what we have, and apply conservative principles to our play. That means strong rest defence set up, MF players scanning behind them before making forward runs, and recovery runs being paramount in our game plan (although we are already very good at getting back in numbers). Having White, Gabriel and Saliba staying behind also means we can work on our defensive set piece strategies again which have slipped since the last Interlull. Strap in, its gonna be a bumpy road but I think we have the goods to go all the way if we avoid silly mistakes and keep the opposition to under a handful of clear chances.
Caceido and Rice are both needed given the age profile of our midfield. We don't want to repeat City's mistakes
Haha the ending is crazy
The physio coming with Partey is a great idea, coz we have bad pitches here in Ghana, I was at the match yesterday and he was the best player on the field
I think Lisandro Martinez would've been a 2-in-1. Centre back and Left back to cover for both Gabriel and Tierney. It is just different permutations. Now we have Kiwior to cover for Gabriel. But I don't know how else we would've replicated what Zinchenko does for us.
Cried in 1989 for the right reasons lol
The Conte Jingle at the end πππ
Very good podcast. Thanks.
