English Premier League club Liverpool is keen to sign Moroccan football player and La Liga attacker Youssef En-Nesyri at the end of the season, Spanish outlet Fichajes reported.
The Spanish news outlet suggested that the English club is eyeing En-Nesyri as a potential replacement for Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino, adding that they are willing to pay up to €35 million to sign the Moroccan player.
In the wake of Morocco’s fairytale journey at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, the Sevilla striker has been on the radar of elite European clubs, becoming one of the most sought-after players.
The Moroccan national team achieved the unexpected at the global tournament and defied all odds suggesting that the team would not make it past the World Cup group stage. En-Nesyri and his teammates emerged as the tournament’s underdog and managed to beat some of the world’s football giants, including Belgium, Spain, and Portugal.
